You need to follow up with a foam pad and a polish to remove the holograms. The pad you used is really aggressive. Plus is you were polishing without product for a period of time that might have affected it.
What product were you using?

-Do two bucket method
-Do take proper care of microfiber towels
-Do use quality car care products from Auto geek! [emoji41]
-Don't mix towels for grunt work and towels for paint
-Don't use products that aren't paint safe like (toothpaste)
-Don't cheap out when it comes to polishers and pads...
I believe you will have better results using a buffer. I know auto geek sells the drill attachments so you can buff using your drill.

Those look like clear coat problems. I cant remember the name that the term is called. Can you feel them with your finger nail? are they under the clear?
