    Thanks for all your replies. In the end, I decided that managing the process of evaluating and/or detailing the car (remotely, no less) was more than I wanted to take on. So instead, for maybe $1500 - $2000 more (and 12k fewer miles), I am the happy new owner of the local 2015 Lexus ES 350...
