Thanks for the video link.
When I used my Duetto last year for the first time, I ended up using the microfiber pads just because they were so much easier to use. I couldn't keep the Rupes foam pads spinning but the microfiber pads kept going
I was just wondering what speed is recommended for the Duetto with the Meguiars microfiber compound and polish. They say to use a certain OPM for best results and I'm not too sure what that would be on my Duetto
I was also wondering if the new thin 5" pads would be a good combo. I bought the...
I gave this a try and the IPA was dead on the surface. Just for comparison I sprayed it on one of my windows which has DP glass coating on it and the IPA beaded up immediately and rolled away.
So I guess the FG400 was successful in removing the 22ple then.
Thanks. All the benefits of a...
I thought the water would be dead on the surface and wouldn't go anywhere.
I actually have DP glass coating on my windows too. I had a 22ple run that I haven't had a chance to remove until yesterday. I hit that spot with FG400 as well. The rest of the window beads but then the spot that I...
I decided to try 22ple on my car this spring. I was looking at it closely the other day and noticed I had picked up some light wash marring.
I was already thinking of going back to my old sealant/wax routine anyway. I've liked the water sheeting and beading a lot but I think my car looked...
Well I got around to trying my Duetto. I got white, yellow and green pads with their respective polishes. I passed on the blue pad and polish because I thought it would be overkill for what I do. My car has light swirls with some deeper scratches after a year since its last polishing and a...
Alright, thanks. Would the 15 have any significant advantage in the amount of time it takes to polish a car?
What I'm mainly trying to get away from with my PC is just the fatigue of polishing for so long. I'm primarily looking forward to polishing without having to put a whole lot of pressure...
Hmm.. I actually had recommendations for the 15 on autopia as well. I am actually leaning towards sending the Duetto back and getting a 15 instead right now.
If you were to choose between a 15 and a Duetto as your only polisher and your just looking for ease of use, quick polishing and it is...
Although I am having some second thoughts now about the Duetto vs the 15. I almost think I should have just went with the 15.
Any thoughts? It would be in addition to a PC 7336 which I hope to not have to use at all anymore on my cars really. I would like the Rupes polisher to be able to get...
I also bought a Duetto. I was comparing the 15 and the Duetto.. I ended up reading a couple of Mike Phillips posts, especially the one with the red Porsche and decided to go for the Duetto.
Anyway.. I'll see how I like it soon I guess
I think there still is a bit of the DP wheel coating still hanging around on them. Weird. It didn't last on my winter wheels at all but it is sticking around on my summer set.
I did wash my wheels this afternoon. They were still beading quite a bit on the initial spray down. I used meguiars all wheel and tire cleaner and the beading was much less, but they did still eventually bead up again
If I were to apply opticoat I'm guessing I would have to polish them anyway...
I applied the DP wheel coating to my wheels last summer/fall.. I'm not sure when it came out. I just got my summer wheels out and figured I would refresh the coating.
Got out the DP Prep polish and went to work on the first wheel.. ended up deciding it would take too much time and just passed...
I've been trying to decide on the same thing right now as well. I actually own a PC 7336 and a Flex 3401 as well. I always found the 3401 kind of difficult to use and once Meguiars introduced their MF pads I actually went back to using the 7336 again.
I'm kind of tempted by what everyone says...
