Hey guys, thanks for your reply. The car did not have any scratches on it. I did not do the entire car. I only did the trunk to get a hang of things. I used a speed of 1 in the entire process. Should I try a higher speed? I am using 4" pads BTW. The car is an Audi A8L.

Thanks again. When is flex releasing the small pads? For raised body panels, only a portion of the pad is in contact with the panel. Is it OK to buff like that? What applicator do you use for hand polish?

Thanks guys but I really don't eat to buy another polisher to get the small areas or raised body lines. I am trying to make do with what I have

Hi Mike, I have question about holding the flex 3401 for curved panels. Is it ok to hold it like this? Also for panels which have smaller concave parts, the pad edge is too big to enter to buff them. What is your recommendation then?

What are the smallest pads that can be used with the 3401? If required, I will change the backing plate. Feed back please

Thanks for your reply Nicholas. The dealer said that the protection will last 2 years but I highly doubt that. Do I need to strip the previous protection away or do I just follow the standard buffing and polishing procedure? I plan on working with a flex 3401.

Howdy, got a new car and dealer put some protech extreme finishing and special cleaner on the car. I want to start polishing and detailing my car but am not sure what the effect of polishing on top of these products will be. Anyone have feedback?

Hi Mike, is there any technique video for the Flex 3401?

I bought the 6.5" pads (along with a lot of stuff!) and will give these a try right now. If I feel underwhelmed, will try the 5" pads. Is there any technique video for using the Flex 3401?

In those 12 hours cure time, wont the car get dirty? Do I have to wash it again or can I just straight up apply wax?
