I know a glaze primarily consists of fillers to fill in fine scratches, but I notice it gives the paint shine and gloss. So if it is putting a coating on the paint, will that affect the performance of the sealant I put on after?

I am eyeing up the FLEX PE8 kit with 1, 2, 3 inch backing plates and pads. However, being somewhat new to detailing and just being a weekend warrior, I'm not sure I have any business owning a rotary polisher. The price of the Rupes Mini is so too much at the moment.

Update incase someone finds this thread one day... I took M205 and a light foam pad to it, and it came right off. The look of the "stains" reminded me of the look on glass as you are wiping it clean and you get the oily looking, colorful streaks that disappear a second later. Guessing it was...

First: is it possible to get a 3" backing plate for the G15? Does that mess up the counterbalance weight? If not, is the standard GG 3" polisher my best bet. I just need something for bumpers and pillars, but not looking to spend another $300+ on something like the Rupes mini.
