Thanks for the help everyone. I decided to just leave it be. My dad is a mechanic and he warned me about the lack of knowledge of many dealer mechanics today. He said you risk one of them screwing something up upon repair. I'll just pretend it's not there.
Hi everyone, I just bought a new truck, picked it up on Tuesday. That night I realized there was a small scratch in the clear plastic of the instrument cluster. I've attached a pic, it's near the 20 mph reading. I called the dealer who said they would probably replace the cluster but I asked...
Thanks. I'm putting together an order now (That VIP special is too good to pass up), but don't know whether to go Never Dull or with the Mother's. Misterpaul may have sold me on the Mother's though.
I couldn't find anything either on whether the wheels are coated or not, not even on the ATS...
My girlfriend recently bought a 2015 Cadillac ATS that had just over 6K miles . The car has 18 inch polished aluminum wheels and I found some fairly minor flaws on them. Some could be left on brake dust but there are other things that appear to be stuck on them.
I have various things in my...
I'm still around. I'll likely have the car a while but the thought of spending $1000+ after what I've already spent isn't very appealing. I may just go old school with wax or DG 501 at this point.
Thanks. I know it lasts a while but that just seems like a lot more than I was hoping for and I'm sure you get what you pay for. Hopefully the paint won't be too bad. It was ordered and I'm telling the dealer not to worry about washing it. I don't want their worn out wash mitts on it.
Yikes sounds like I should just do it myself. Spending a day or two on prep is what turns me off. I find after 4 hours or so I go from wanting perfect paint to just wanting to get it done lol. I was hoping for $500 or so...
Maybe I should clarify-the car is a black 2017 Camaro SS. It will be garage kept and is a toy not a daily driver (though I plan to drive it a lot). I only wash my vehicles myself using the two bucket method. They will not see a car wash.
Like Wrapt said though you're getting paid either way...
I have a brand new car ordered and on the way and I just don't have the time or inclination anymore to do more than basic washing and waxing myself these days. I'd like to do things right from the beginning and have a coating put on it. There is one place in the area that installs CQuartz...
Nice car for sure. I never ran at a drag strip and when I see those initial burnouts I always cringe because I think of how quick the rear tires wear without doing that haha...
I'm not saying it's not worth that but to me these are tough times and not many people have $75K+ to dump into what's essentially a toy. I guess I can only speak for where I live though.
My GTO is essentially a toy now but I used it as a DD at one time. The difference is I bought it new in...
I love everything about it but there will not be many people out there that can afford it, that's for sure. I was raised a GM guy and between this and the new Z06 I've been drooling like crazy and hoping to come into some money...
