How to Under Promise and Over Deliver with BLACKFIRE One Step - Your One Step Detailing Package

Good article! I'm not in production, but doing this to my daily drivers. Love BF and their One Step and SiO2 Spray Sealant have really impressed me.

In Search of a Good Portable Tire Inflator: HELP!!

Amazon.com: Q Industries MF-1035 Inflator, 12 Volt Portable Air Compressor for Car Tires and Sport Balls, MF1035 by MasterFlow: Automotive I've been using a Master Flow for 10 years. Have to plug it into the 12V cigarette lighter but has never let me down. Will probably look into a battery...

Durability Test : Meguairs ultimate liquid wax

Megs Ultimate "Wax" didn't last much more than one car wash for me. Looks great when applied, but zero durability. In the winter, I wouldn't want to be out in the cold re-applying this every other week and would go for something stronger.

    Bead Maker?

Not related, but I tried Kenotek Showroom Shine on top of BF SiO2 Spray Sealant and what a mess! Turned everything into what can only be described as a camafloughed pattern haze. Had to buff it out with Amigo and start over. Those two don't mix. Interested in trying Bead Maker though.

BLACKFIRE Pro Primer Polish before BF SiO2 Spray Sealant?

Blackfire SiO2 is now my go-to post-wash drying agent and sealant. I have used it on everything from a brand new car straight from the dealership (with the usual bad car wash swirls) to over the top of a recently clay/compound/polish/ceramic coated vehicle and basically, love it on every...

    Sealant comparison

Great thread! Thanks for all the info! Agree a used Sentra is a great kids car. And I have shopped for a $6K used car, just a beater to get back and forth to work, catch rock chips and door dings, and like you said, for that money it is mostly beat up, smoked up, scratched up, dirty junk out...

Question on McKees 37 coating, hell any coating for that matter...

I agree that a wax on top of the coating will not hurt it, unless it is a cleaner wax. Also agree that the wax will attract dirt/dust and be harder to clean. Also, the wax is not going to last, especially if it is out in the hot sun and then a rain shower hits it while it is hot. The slick...

    Best OTC Aluminum Polish?

Great tips, guys, Thank you! I never heard of the "nitrile glove only" last step. I have pretty good microfiber towels, but always have fine scratches, or a very mild haze. I'll try the Mothers Billet, since even the "non abrasive" Blue Magic is still scratching, and the regular Mothers Mag...

    Paintless dent repair...minor rant

I've had PDR a few times and they never buffed, nor did I want them to.

Order of operation for Quick Detailer and Spray Wax

I agree with above. Skip the QD after the LSP, and apply after your next wash(es).

    Best OTC Aluminum Polish?

I've been using Blue Magic for years, but I'm not satisfied with the finish on billet aluminum. How does Mothers compare with Blue Magic? I'm looking for a mirror finish like it was when new.

Need some advice on small stuff...

Looks great! Better than 99.99% of all boats on the water. I think I would leave it, but if you have to go at it, try a white LC pad with a good polish. I'm going to hit my boat today with the LC whites and compare with the Shurhold black pads using YB Pro Polish. And when I'm done, it...

    Novice boat detail

Update Did starboard side by hand, only used West Marine Cleaner Wax, using microfiber applicator and towels. Turned out really good, good shine, good reflection. Easy on, very hard to get off, lots of oxidation coming off on the towels, lots of elbow grease. Did the port side using the...
