I had the same problem then hit it with my 75 psi vapor steamer and a citrus product which ag don't sell...... Works great

Thanks Mike for the info I was leaning more to the when to sand a scratch but I guess it all goes back to your thread.... I was working on a black Harley guy wanted all of the scratches out id menz 2000 orange pad checked hit it one more time then went to menz 4000 then black and 4500 looks...
I got u on that bud I'm a weekend warrior myself but had to get the tools make things go little faster that's all... The tornador Is a great tool I still use mine it just not the bread and butter does help a lot will def be happy when if u buy one

On mine the weighted liquid pickup ball has a screen in it that will plug up may wNt to check that.... Also sometimes while using the small hose will freeze up in just air mode I all ways keep a warm buckeye of water near by

I don't have a vx5000 but I do have a vc5000( from www.unlimitedbusinesssolutions.com with chemical injection let me tell u cuts Down interior cleaning times but like anything its not perfect rated for 75 psi yeah it's there but won't hold it pressure drops in all models in this price range...
Isn't that the truth hate to see the damage a auto wash does after your following a steelmill truck through ouch..........

Pretty much from my experience regardless what she decides to use proper prepping of the paint is always a good idea for a good bond to the surface. Kinda like doing a full compound and Polish and not clay baring I'm sure your pad will pick up something somewhere and make some nasty pig tails...
From my experience it does strip the protection maybe not all at once but it definitely cuts the durability time in half vs hand washing but depends on products used over seen klasse sealant go 12-16 washes
