I also used PC 7424 for years, correct pad with right compind or polish you can do about anything. Patience, slow and steady always works for me, it's to easy to get in a rush specially when it's a long day and hours of working on a car, take your time. If you don't want to practice on your car...

I use the 5inch uro fiber on Rupes 15 Mark ii, mostly with aio's like he speed and PB polish with sealant with good results. I also have a couple 6 inch, I'll definitely keep some around.

ditto, I like WGDGS leaves nice slick finish and looks great, I have applied 2 coats with curing 12hrs between coats. I've also topped it with Pinnacle souveran an couldn't tell much of a difference. Very easy to apply and remove.

I keep a detail bag in my cars. PB S&W, Mckee's 37 ww, glass cleaner, QD, apc, 303 and plenty of micro fibers. Fairly small bag, so it doesn't take up much room.
