As I recall they are designed to raise the water temp approx 25 degrees. Average setting on hot water heater is 120 degrees. So figure 145-150 max tolerance. The owners manual says not to use boiling water. I encountered the overspray you mentioned a couple of times. Shut off, disconnect...
Looks Great! Not sure which is more impressive, the interior or the exterior? Besides the DA brush what products did you use on the carpet? What products did you use on the interior?
We leased a car several years ago and had the cloth swapped with the katzkin leather. Looked good and wore well. Our winters didn't bother it. Would definitely consider again.
I had same problem as OP. Didn't have any APC or wax eraser. Tried and failed with the following used toothbrush and towel:
Peanut Butter
WD-40 -
Vegetable Oil
Finally pink eraser with a lot of elbow grease remove the spots. I had a couple of other spots that were much easier to remove.
It's been a while, you've always helped me with my questions and hoping you will do the same again. After using the APC+ for cleaning the interior what do you like for protectant for dash and hard plastics? What do you like to use on leather? Upholstery?
Thanks again,
Scott

Did not follow up yet with the DG501/601. Ended up applying UC to the rest of the right side hood and then stopped.
Yeah, now that you mention it, I heard there is a bug going around. I hear the vaccinations can be expensive. :) There is lots of good advice and good product recommendations...
Thanks to everyone who replied. The paint is definitely too rough for AIO. I hit it with UC and a Flat Orange Pad. That was a big improvement. Now that it's cleaned up the scratches are a lot more visible. The question becomes where to stop with a 15 year old DD? Perhaps in this case M101...
Looks like I have a couple of options: Different pads and/or UC. Not sure how the DG501 compares to xmt360, but looks like they used both orange and yellow pads with xmt360 on a similar SS White Toyota...
:iagree: That's what I'm looking for. I've done so much reading I've confused M105/M101. Which one has the steeper learning curve? Looking for something that is relatively easy and forgiving.
Looking at trying to improve the trim on one of my DD. What is the best way to clean and improve the looks of the trim? I've been looking at Poor Boy's Trim Restorer, PERL, UTTG+ (but that is probably more than I care to spend).
Thanks
I'm a rookie and I just did a test patch on my '98 Sienna. This is my learning vehicle, then I will move to my other DD. I think the results are pretty good, but am wondering if I can get a deeper shine on a white vehicle? Should I hit with orange pad or move to something having a little more...
