1995 Rio Red Mustang (1st timer)

I usually follow up with the white pad and 205, but I can't see any difference afterwards. Maybe I need better lighting in my garage or perhaps my technique is good enough for cutting but not good enough for polishing. I imagine with the 205 & white pad I will want to use less pressure on the...

Got a foam cannon.... And need help

I think rinsing first is optional, after you foam you wash with buckets. Then you can dry the car. eg:If you are washing a truck that just spent the weekend in the mudd you would probably rinse 1st :-)

    Best vacuum for under $40?

Sorry for bumping an old thread but it is indication that I searched first, How much HP are we looking for in a good vacuum? Do we really need 4-6hp vac's ? It looks like some are getting away with 2.5hp ones just fine.

Thanks I appreciate any advice, I'm totally new to everything detail related. One think I have noticed is everything is pretty time consuming.

Folex, what all can it be used on?

I know this is an old thread, but this looks amazing, I wonder if I can just use the hose, I don't have a pressure washer, Today I tried Folex & this was the best I was able to achieve on the passenger side, I want them to look new if possible like yours!

1995 Rio Red Mustang (1st timer)

11/24/13 Today I did the driverside fender, How come I cant get it perfect? Do I not have enough patience? or do i need something better then the porter cable to correct faster. I guess most of my scratches accumulated over the years are deep into the clear coat. Also long over due cleaning...

1995 Rio Red Mustang (1st timer)

No I have a Porter Cable, I am just really slow & get tired fast and usually get interrupted in the middle of working. So have been doing the car in sections. Anyone know how long it should take to fully detail an average car? I'm new to this & despite people telling me to use ultimate compound...

1995 Rio Red Mustang (1st timer)

11/24/13 I did the drivers side door today, I haven't touched the front fender but to be honest I don't think I need to, maybe just put some wax. Looks like the numerous washes cleaned up parts of the car that I haven't taken the polisher too. The front bumper is in pretty bad shape and has...

11/23/13 Progess Did some more sections today, however I didn't have my good camera with me so I had to use my cellphone camera as I wasn't at home. I am still finding m105 quite necessary to cut down on the number of passes necessary but mixing with ultimate compound to increase the working...
