Backstory:
A car backed up into my door and smashes it in. Insurance wont cover it and I feel like it would be cheaper to buy another car of the same model and just swap the doors then sell the car I just bought for a little less (also use some other parts if needed).

I am now pretty sure those marks are caused from wiping the polish off. I did a 2x2 square and wiped the polish off with quick detailer and a MF towel moving left to right and saw that those hologram marks were now left to right.

I have never seen those defects before and I had the car for years. Never taken it to an auto car wash or detailer either. I will try the KBM way.
Will try with black pad first.

Nissan 1995 240sx. This is my first time ever attempting polishing and first time using a 7424xp. Also I think the defects are actually holograms rather than marring.
It wasnt there before and I guess I screwed up somehow using the 7424XP.
I used M105 with an orange LC pad at speed 5
-Prepped pad with 4 spots then pressed on work area
-3 more spots on pad then started working the paint
-slow movement up-down and then left-right
I also noticed M105 would dry...
I have no idea what polishes are light and the what the differences between pads are nor do I have an orbital buffer. I am basically completely new to this and have no idea what specific products are good for it.
So the whole driver side on my car was blasted and I have these nasty marks everywhere. I can feel the texture when I was washing it with a microfiber mit so I assume they are on there pretty good. Since a normal wash won't do any good, what do you recommend I do?
