Some autobody shops can put clear into an aerosol can. I'd go that route before I tried wiping it on. Even a cheap Harbor Freight airbrush that you throw away would be better.
Thanks for the replies. Is there anything I can do short of repainting it? I know that would be the real solution, but I mean can I stop it or slow the spread? Right now it bothers me but its not like the paint is peeling off. Its three or four isolated areas.
I have these small cracks (best way I can describe them) in the paint on the hood of my truck. Its a 2007 Silverado in the Onyx Black. I can't remember how long they've been there exactly but since compounding and polishing they really stand out now. I've gone over them with 105/205 and like...
Nutserts are just threaded inserts that are pressed into panels and such sort of like rivets. I can't speak to the Trailblazer but if indeed there are nutserts, I wouldn't worry one bit about unbolting the rails. Its no big deal to put a squirt of silicone in the holes to prevent water...
If you're looking more at the personal use aspect I'd say the Honda Element. If you're looking more at a business use for the vehicle, I'd say the Ford Transits might work well. The used ones are more prevalent now.
I've just finished polishing out my truck with 105/205 and am going to start the finishing steps with Blacklight, Collinite 845, and V7.
I don't have any black pads but do have green and red CCS pads. I'd like to use the green pads. Anybody see any issues with this? I think I also have...
What's wrong with Bleche-Wite? I don't think it works much different from an APC besides the gagging fumes. I still use it occasionally. Is there something wrong with it?
I use the 4" CCS and Hydrotech pads with the 4" backing plate. I use the 5.5" CCS and 5.5" Hydrotech pads with the 5.5" backing plate. The Hydrotech pads are actually a little bigger and rounded so you can buff with the sides of the pad a bit more. I use the 6.5" CCS pads with the 5.5" BP too...
I ordered both the Blackfire rinseless and the waterless. So I'll just have to try it out I guess. I wanted to stay away from the ONR because I've read about it reacting with the Colinite 845 and clouding. I've been happy with all of the Blackfire products I've tried so hopefully this is the...
Winter is coming and living in Chicagoland I'm looking for a good rinseless product. I think I'll be ordering the BF rinseless solution for that. I know it can be diluted to QD spray but was wondering if it would be better to do that or use the BF Waterless Wash instead? I know its all about...
