    Vacuuming polishing pads?

I will stock up on pads, and switch pads more often. Sounds like I'm using too much product and not swapping pads enough. Thank for the input guys. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2

    Metro Giveaway

It would be great to be able to do a review for the forum! Really not picky on the product from Metro vac, but the vac and blow would be awesome. From the reviews so far they are fantastic, would like to echo the reviews:) Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2

    Vacuuming polishing pads?

So not so much to replace the brush, but to remove excess product from the pad after a few panels. Maybe it would help keep the pads from over saturation? Not sure if it would be as good as just a terry towel. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2

    Vacuuming polishing pads?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone vacuums their foam pads instead of cleaning on the fly with a towel. I was thinking it could lift spent product or at very least help keep the pad clean for an extra panel? Just thinking out loud, I plan on trying it this weekend unless someone...

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

I forgot to add the speed on the Flex, I was running it anywhere from 3.5 - 5 when testing. The best results where at 3.5 with the black pad and d301. The worst one was at 5 with D151.

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

Project update: The van came white from the factory and was repainted with a single stage red. It was a budget job, as they forgot to take the tape off the A pillar and left a nice white strip of original paint. Paint and vehicle are about 6 years old without any paint maintenance. Test spot...

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

I would like to thank everyone for their incredible information and suggestions. So UPS came to my work today with a pretty good size box with my new Flex 3401, LC bp system, 5" hybrid (blue and orange), 6.5 CCS pads (orange, yellow, and pink), D151, Ultima WW, and 2 530 towels. A great day...

Tools Tools Tools - The Art of Polishing Paint

WOW!!! I have been drooling over these pics for about 5 minutes, I then go to my garage to clean up some pads and my collection feels.....inadequate to say the least. I think I will attend the next class before I make this into part time work. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

    A Detailers Lifestyle*

What I have learned here on the forums and from detailing has spilled over to home life. My wife is happy to say the least. Folding up 2 mf towels to dust furniture, one to spread the pledge to and one to buff off. I use the steamer for grout work, the pc for polishing the cook top, and the gg 3...

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

Wow, You guys have been incredibly generous with knowledge and opportunity to test out equipment, thank you very much. RMAGNUS - you are correct about not giving the company a proposal or schedule. The company is very flexible with this project regarding schedules and payment. I have been...

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

Thank you guys for the info and suggestions. I think I will pull the trigger on the 3401 and then in a few months buy the Flex rotary, depending if this is something I want to expand from the current order. I was planning on $40 a foot on the rigs and about $400 for the cargo vans. Can...

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

I searched on these boards for an average and I believe I saw a figure for $40-$80 a foot for the trucks/RV. I was thinking about $35 an hour for the cargo vans. Anyone have pricing suggestions on the cargo vans for exterior correction and front interior cleaning? I was thinking about $400...

I want the Flex, I need the Rupes?

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Rmagnus - I have been working on maybe 10 cars on the side. This order came after the CFO saw me waterless washing my car at lunch and asked a ton of questions. I don't have a set time to do the vehicles. They are ok with one correction a week or at my own...
