I tried polishing the rest of the trim by hand but it didn’t leave the same finish as the da and hd speed did.

would I be able to buff the trim with the 5 inch pad I was using? I don’t have a smaller backing plate or machine. So the reason the trim looks different on the bottom is because it essentially cleaned the trim?

the trim is not damaged tho right? If I get trim restorer it should be fine?

Should I just hit the rest of the trim with HD speed?

Anyone? Does it look like I stained it? I hate how it looks uneven.

Do you guys know if he speed stained the trim or did it just clean it? It does look more black towards the bottoms that’s why I’m thinking it cleaned it

It’s a lease so it doesn’t have to be perfect, I just want it to be less swirl and scratch free. That’s my goal

I got 5.5 inch pads. And it’s a charger hellcat lol. I’m hoping the 4 white pads will be enough but if anything I could use 1 of the oranges if there’s a worse area.

Just placed my order for 3d speed, 6 LC flats, 4 white 2 orange. And a griots G9 kit. Will this amount of pads be enough? If not I can always clean a few on the fly correct? And for cleaning pads I can always just use some dawn right? Any tips you guys have for 3d speed that could help me out...

I just bought the 3d speed and a 5 inch plate. Thats all I have so far so Im trying to decide what pads to use. After I finish 1 panel is it a must to clean pad for the next panel? I saw that you can just put pad on mf towel and start it on low speed to do quick clean.

and do you think I need a 3inch pad for tough to reach areas? Im more of a weekend warrior, not doing this to make money.

Im gonna be detailing my 2019 charger this week, has some swirls and I'm gonna use 3d speed. Anybody have any idea how the clear is on this car should I go orange, white, or green LC pads. And will my nano sponge be enough or should I iron x? I do not have Iron X.

Thank you Mike! I was watching a video by 3m and the guy used 4 small sized dimes of 3d one for the whole hood! I know you say work by 2x2 But wouldn't 4 drops of speed be too much product for 2x2?
