Really Dirty Daily Driver. What to do in dirt conditions aka road construction.

This is where I was thinking one panel at a time. Pretty sure I can wash, dry, polish and then do a coating one panel at a time before it got dirty. No way I can do the whole truck. I worry about waxes because dry time on them the dust and dirt that would get in then just wiping that all around.

Grand Rapids Area Yeah it is rough, let me share my pain with pictures, I completely did a 2 bucket wash Sunday. I usually spend half hour just hosing off solid particles. I took this pic last night. This is 2 and a half days worth of grime. End of the week its worse. Looks like I am out...

Is there a sealant like product for black plastic. Rear truck bumpers, running boards, etc.

I do not know about Dlux, I went with the Wolfgangs and never looked back. It has an awesome shine to it and it doesn't make the plastic slick.

There is only one, kind of near me 20 mile drive, unfortunately it is old and out dated and they have a strict policy on hanging out there and doing anything. The other problem is doing a coating, there would be overspray from all the other cars washing. They want you to just come in and wash...

Really Dirty Daily Driver. What to do in dirt conditions aka road construction.

So this year the city I live in decided the 2 mile stretch of road in front of my house needed all new water mains and sewer. Oh what a mess. Basically think of your average city street with sidewalks on both sides and then side walk to sidewalk rip it all out deep enough to put in sewer and...

    "Scratches" on the Display Screen?

Look on Amazon for "Lexerd Screen Protector". They make screen protectors for pretty much every vehicle for the touch screens. much like you have on your phones. I put one on mine as a recommendation it is fantastic. It repells finger prints and dirt and and can be cleaned with a microfiber...

    Truck detailing

Usually night before I am cleaning my truck I do the interior and the windows inside and out. This includes the back window and side windows so I don't have to worry about them. I plan on an hour to an hour and a half depending what all I need to do. Sometimes it is quick 30 minutes. Then...

    New windshield care

I was using Pinnacles glass cleaner. I bought the whole package from them the Polish, cleaner and coating. This is on a brand new truck as well so not a lot of surface issues with the glass. Followed the directions and the videos on it, Mike even has a great video on it. I took my time...

    New windshield care

Check this out https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/mckees-37/112075-video-keep-simple-glass-care-mckees-37-a.html That is Mckees, it looks extremely promising, however I have not tried it yet myself. I am finishing up Pinnacles version and while it works great I had a lot of trouble streaking...

    Classic muscle... 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner

Very awesome, definitely takes me back. The older paint job and details on this are outstanding. Imron was "THE" black paint in the 80's. I had a Cuda repainted with this as it was originally black with the white hockey stick 340 stripe. Now days you see a lot of black cars that just shine and...

    2011 Dodge Ram

Really nice job, while the outside and inside had quite the transformation the engine compartment was one of the best.

Cleaned up a 2017 Ford RAPTOR

Nice work, trust me I know trucks are not easy. That's a lot of work to get that all done. Not sure what you think but for the Tonneau cover I use 303 marine vinyl protectant. I think it works great on the vinyl cover, tip I got from these forums a while ago. Not sure difference between Marine...

    Magic Eraser?

Meh, depends. Older people, no offense to anyone, love it. Which I can understand. I had one when I was growing up but in my teens cassette tapes, and early 20s CD. Oh And older sister had 8 track. Record players have a warmer tone to them and older music does sound much better that way. Blues...

    Magic Eraser?

No they are not tint safe as tint is just a plastic film. One thing to remember about magic eraser is that it is abrasive. As said above very much like a very fine sand paper. You would only want to use them where you would use a fine sand paper. They erase via abrasion. I have never used them...

    waffle weave drying towel questions

I guess to add to eldorada2k I have always used the techniques here from a very old autogeek video titled how to dry your car. Again use a dry one. I use the pat dry technique and never had any issues. The only variations I do to this is the very roof of my truck because it is so high I can't...
