Mostly cars, and posible some small planes. Most of my experience is big wool pads on a rotary years ago. I tried a d/a a while back with a 5" pad and it felt like I was painting a wall with a magic marker. Even the 7" pads I have now feel small to me.

Was looking at buffing pads and noticed 3m perfect it 8" pads(single sided) are substantially more expensive than just about anything else ($25each) are you just paying for the name or are they top notch in performance and durability?
