What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Detailing of a different kind...... I've been scrubbing the undercarriage of my C3. A leaking seal in the "diff" forced me to do the "full monte" and remove it. It's time for new suspension bushings and brake caliper reseal. Tomorrow the rattle can comes out for a touchup of what I did 34...

    Dr. colorchip squirt & squeegee

My neighbor bought it and I did it on his dark maroon car. I was surprised how nicely it applied. I did two coats to get some build up in the rock chips in the hood. When done what was obvious at 10 ft away now would not catch your eye at 4 ft. Does not cure but nicely hides.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The 1935 Auburn I’ve taught my friend how to detail, crossed the podium. Donald Osborne (classic car personality) presented the trophy. Time for another project. Photos of the AZ Concours at https://photos.app.goo.gl/yUcekZZkopd4i3NEA

2011 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

Teak oil is used. To have a RR dealer do it by the book, it's a $2,000 bill. To totally replace the teak $19,000 for the wood kit, installation extra. Looking at one at a reseller recently, it had a inside corner "slat" snapped off on both sides next to where the top irons reside when up. Had...

5 inch vs 6 inch pads

5" straight edged pads on curvy, angular bodies. I use a 6" pad that flares out to 7" on long flat surfaces.

    Cordless Polishers 2025

My second polisher was a PC 7424, it replaced a Waxmaster! In 2008ish Flex introduced the XC3401 "Beast". I was tired of the stalling from the PC and I wanted forced rotation. For what you say I'd say go for the Hercules forced rotation.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I finished the rear section of the Auburn. The 18 year old restoration is in fantastic shape. Kudos to the painter. It took 7 years for the paint to be completed. No cracks or lifting anywhere!

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

My pal wanted a lesson in ceramic on his ERay. I won a bottle of Adams Multi Surface Ceramic at their open house so that got the nod. A lot of curves on this one. I put him on both ends with a Pixie & 3" pad and I ran the CBeast with 5". 3D One was used with prep wipe down after because we...
