@the_gus and @williams Thanks for the replies. What detail spray would you recommend aside from gtechniq and v7? Best bang for the buck.

    Ceramic coat - maintenance

Hi, I preformed a two stage correction polish and then prepped the car so I put a coat of GTechniq CSL. The car came out pretty good if I do say so myself. I ran out of time and did not get around to putting down a coat of GTechniq EXO (I purchased the GTechniq EXO and CSL Kit). It's been a...

    Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer - 1st time

Merry Christmas to all. I was also contemplating McKee's 37 Paint Coating Bundle - New Formula for the ease on application etc. Is the McKee's comparable to the "GTechniq line? For $45 it almost seems too good to be true. Thanks again!

    Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer - 1st time

Hi, I have 3 personal cars that get the 'detail' treatment at my house (Lexus, Mustang, Pontiac Trans Am). I've done the 2-3 steps correction process and they look good for awhile (2 of these cars sit outside all the time). I like using collinite 845 but been contemplating use a 'coating'...

Spilled coffee on my perforated leather seats

Hi, Like a dummy I spilled some coffee from my coffee cup (luckily the lid was only slightly open) on my wife's Lexus is250 which has perforated leather seats. I immediately got the only towel I had in my car (terry cloth) and soaked as much as I could. I left the towel in place for hours...

    Foam cannon = cleaner car?

I usually follow up with a two bucket method for all my cars but for my son's car we just wanted to perform a quick wash before giving it to the new owner. Most folks don't appreciate a very clean/detailed car (for a low cost vehicle such as this; 2000 eclipse).

    Foam cannon = cleaner car?

Hi, I usually use the two-bucket method on my personal cars with mf wash mitt, mf towels etc and get good results. Yesterday I used the foam cannon for the first time on my son's car. I rinsed the car with the pressure washer, foamed, wiped with mf mitt, rinsed, mf towels to dry. The car...

Vinyl vert top - 303 Aerospace Protectant treatment

Hi, I have a 90' Mustang with a vinyl top. I washed the top with a vert cleaner and then treated the top with 303. It turned out great! If I wash my car 2-4 times per month, do I treat the top with 303 every time? That seems excessive. What's good practice? Thanks in advance.

non-auto releated polishing question - stainless steel fridge

Hi, Have any of you worked your magic on a stainless steel fridge that had scratches etc? If so, what steps did you take? Thanks in advance.

    Polished vehicle not noticed!

Agree, if they see the time spent on their car, they will mention it.

    Polished vehicle not noticed!

My parents own a black Lexus that has swirls etc and I'd like to do a paint correction because I can't stand it. I'm sure they'll hardly notice.
