I had a similar problem with my XC3401, my bail would NOT tighten enough. I emailed FLEX and their reply was "What do you expect us to do?" "Give you a new one?" Needless to say, I have NOT purchased any more FLEX products!

I had the same problem with 2 of my FLEX polishers. I called the service department, they said to send them both back to the service center (at my cost), but they would give me no time estimate on when they might be returned. Not a very good attitude from the service center (IMO). Kind of...

I have one of the Harbor Freight 2 inch sander / polishers, works great for small tight areas. You can also go to Buffdaddi.com and purchase extension that allow you to get into tighter areas.
