I've still got about a half a bottle of this. I'm hoping there is a replacement product out before that runs out. I love this stuff and use it all the time. I guess I'll give the Meguiar's M40 a try first.
I did do this a couple of times. I forget why I gave up on the idea though. I like to try out different waxes and sealants, so it may have just been that I didn't want that many used pads in bags waiting for the next round of that wax/sealant.
I hear that a lot of people use their DA to apply waxes and sealants. I've done it a couple of times in the past, but what I hate about it is cleaning the pads afterward. It seems like you can never get it all out even using a dedicated polishing pad cleaner. Because of this, I typically just...
I have the Master Blaster, and I have also had the Sidekick and the McKee's dryer. The Sidekick is really a fantastic unit. It does an exceptional job for blowing water out of cracks, but it's not enough for drying a whole car. The McKee's drying is good for drying a whole car, but I just...
The only product I've found that seems to have a similar description is Meguiar's M40 Mirror Glaze Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Conditioner. I've never used it though, so I don't know how similar it really is.
Also, if you really want to the white to pop, make sure that anything black (tires, trim, wheel wells, etc.) are *very* black. The contrast makes the white even brighter. Wolfgang Trim Sealant is great on trim.
I have a 2011 BMW Z4 in Alpine white. I agree with the others about surface preparation. The more contamination you can remove, the better. I personally am not fond of wax on this car though. I prefer the paint to stay bright and clear; wax seem to give more of a soft glow that I don't like...
This is truly the best drying towel by a wide margin. The only problem I have is that it's a bit bigger than I'd like. I wish they would make one that is about 2/3 the size.
I have the PC and use it a few times a year. I generally stay under speed 6, but that speed also seems to work well with my technique and the products I use (speed 6 seems to dry polish out too quickly for me). I have heard that some people use padded work gloves as well. I haven't tried it...
I totally agree about the number of pads comments. I also agree that it's nice to see you using the PC and basic flat pads (which is what I use). I know a lot of people complain that the PC doesn't have enough power, but recently I've done a 1999 Chevy truck and a 2011 BMW (both with...
This really is a great video. I've polished a few cars, but there are a few tips in here that I'm excited about trying next time around. I do think there is one error in it though. Around the 14:30 mark, you say that clear coat is 2 millimeters (1/1000 meter) thin. I think you meant 2 mils...
I just got mine today and did some quick testing with it. It really is a nice light. The thing I like most about it is that it is much closer to the sun reflecting off of the car than other lights I have. Other lights have a very focused beam of light that can blind you if you don't have it...
