Accidentally used petroleum cleaner wax on PPF. OK or should I be "worried?"

Yeah exactly. It’s that “era” of wrap, is what I meant. Not so worried about warranty as I bought the car used. Just want to be sure I didn’t harm the material I guess.

Accidentally used petroleum cleaner wax on PPF. OK or should I be "worried?"

A little bit of my XPEL PPF (2012-2014 year) had some hard water spots, so I used a cleaner wax which I stupidly later realized has petroleum in it, to clean said spots off. It worked like a charm, but now I'm concerned about whether I've prematurely damaged or worn my expensive film. Anyone...

Up Close & Personal: Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax

Ahh, damn so I'm using too little product. So it's half an ounce huh. I guess that makes it easy, just have to double my amount used.

Up Close & Personal: Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax

I'd appreciate if you could. Now wondering if my measurements have been off due to using the "bottle cap method". I definitely do worry to much with this car, lol. My first Jet Black car, driving me nuts, but getting the hang of it. Really love this stuff though, even taking into consideration...

Up Close & Personal: Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax

Interesting, thanks. I do remember him saying that it should be sufficient if used EVERY time (adding up wax I guess), but I'll go back and check. The Waterless Wash I used before did indeed leave a very "slippery" surface, though that product was too intense/difficult for every wash's use. I...

Up Close & Personal: Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax

So I ordered, and washed with this twice already. Using a Chenille MF Mitt, plush MF towels to dry/buff (buffing is VERY minimal, seems like it dries like water more-so than leaving thick wax residue, is this normal?), two bucket method (one of them with a grit-guard). Absolutely LOVE IT...

Microfiber Detergent is it really necessary?

I've been using "All", the one with no perfumes or dyes, intended for "sensitive skin". It seems to be their competing product to Woolite. I dunno if it's the soap or what, but I feel like I'm noticing my fluffy MF's quickly start to get thinner and harder. Don't know why as it seems this...

Kaolin clay does it strip existing wax?

Ok now that makes sense. Yeah, I used the wrong word. So they said there's no *ABRASIVES* that could strip the existing Wax/Sealant (obviously they didn't bring up whether the clay does or does not).

Kaolin clay does it strip existing wax?

I asked them if it had any light "abrasives" (like a Cleaner Wax) that essentially can remove any clear coat and they assured me that it does NOT. Is that not true? I guess it comes down to people's different opinion on "cleaners". From what I understood or though I did, SM One is no more...

The difference between a Normal Car Wash, a Waterless Car Wash, a Rinseless Car Wash and a Spray Detailer

Ah, ok thanks. I guess that makes sense (if it's all about a soaked Mitt or MF or whatever you use).

The difference between a Normal Car Wash, a Waterless Car Wash, a Rinseless Car Wash and a Spray Detailer

I have a question.... Can you use a Rinseless Wash, i.e ONR Wash/Wax in the same kind of way that you can a Waterless Wash? I.e, just mix a gallon, then fill a spray bottle with it, and saturate a panel with the Rinseless solution, and wipe away? I don't see how that can be any different more...

Kaolin clay does it strip existing wax?

I meant the guys who make SmartWax One (they were at a stand at the Auto Show which is where I was introduced to the product). Are you referring to that same exact product in which you've used for years? I really like it, and had no problems at all with it on my white car, but on my black car...

Kaolin clay does it strip existing wax?

Thanks. Good point at the end. I mean, I buffed it by hand. Hopefully that wouldn't be enough pressure (even though I had to press a lot harder and buff a lot more than I wanted to since the damn thing was so stubborn to buff out) to strip Sealant anyway.

Kaolin clay does it strip existing wax?

Thanks, I hope not. I'm learning so much through every mistake I make, I guess it's partially worth it. Had I not had such a tough time scrubbing off the clay that comes with "One", which resulted in some premature swirls (though not nearly as noticeable or bad as I had initially feared) I...

Kaolin clay does it strip existing wax?

I used the same Smartwax One stuff, as I've talked to the guys and they assured that it is NOT a Cleaner, and is safe to "layer" and such. I've also heard other users claim that it doesn't strip LSP. I really hope it doesn't! I used it 3 weeks after getting my car sealed with Menzerna Polymer...
