No I think you're right about that. I think it's a hard, rigid surface. I thought about just cutting off a piece of dowel on the table saw. But keeping creases out of any sandpaper I'd wrap around it seems to be impossible. This (whatever "this" is), seems to be a solution to that. If 3M or...
