I got my hands full this weekend with a 91 Cadillac Brougham (Lowrider). The car has painted pin stripes that go over the clear coat that the owner wants removed. What is the easiest (clear coat safe) option to remove the pinstripes?
The car does have some areas on the hood were the clear coat...
Had a similar situation with my flex few weeks back. Funny part is I started a thread asking for recommendations for a back up polisher, just in case the flex goes out. Sure enough the flex stops working on the next job.
4 year old flex and out of warranty. Shipped it to powerhouse tools...
Thanks.
I'm now planning on doing half the trunk with the left over coating and the 2nd half with just powerlock or powerlock/colinite combo just to see the difference over time on my personal car.

How many cars can be coated with the Gyeon Syncro kit?
GYEON Q2 Syncro includes:
•50 ml. GYEON Q2 Mohs
•30 ml. GYEON Q2 Skin
The car it will be going on is a 08 Mercedes S550 and I plan on going with the recommended 2 coats of Mohs and single coat of Skin.
Thank you.

Thanks Mike, I read about Ceramiclear on here when I first started getting into detailing. It's the first things I check for on any Mercedes that I've detailed or anyone that's inquired about having there car detailed.

I'm going to do it this weekend. I'll see if the clay alone helps out but more then likely I will be polishing after claying.

That was or still is the plan, but then I came across products like 3D eraser or Optium MDR and figured maybe I can use that to avoid having to remove any clear.

I'm kind of stuck and can't make up my mind. The car in question is a 14 black Mercedes. Paint was corrected 5 months ago, the hood roof and trunk now have beaded water spots from what I'm assuming is rain since there is no spotting on both sides.
Would you go out and buy 3D eraser or any...
Thanks for the replies. I searched through all the reviews and Q&A section on Home Depots site last night. It turns out the Ridgid Detailing kit (1.5") won't work with the older Ridgid Vac I have.
They do make the same hose in 1 7/8" it just doesn't include the extra attachments. I ended up...
I have a Ridgid 4050 for about 8 years now and still using the hose that came with it. Between the cord length and hose length, I always find my self stretching to the max distance from the outlet to get the job done. It's worked around the issue all this time but the time to upgrade is overdue...
This one was fun. I wish I could of taken some pictures with the badges on but the owner took the screws with him.
Steps:
IronX
Rinse and foam
Clay with nano skin wash mit
Clayed again with meguiars pro fine bar
Flex 3401
Wolfgang Uber compound
CCS Orange and Yellow cut pads
Menzerna...
Sorry I replied to your other post before seeing this. I look into both PC and GG, they both seem to be priced the same

My experience is only with the flex. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to replace the flex.
My intention here was to see what 3401 owners use as a secondary option.
If I was a full time detailer, I can see having a back up 3401 as being a great idea but for someone like me who's...
