    Slight clouding on headlight lenses...

Thanks, killr. This is just the start of some clouding, and I was hoping to nip it in the bud (and do maintenance as you suggest forever after) before it got worse. I guess what I'll do is try the XMT and the white pad and if I don't like, then graduate to a lens polishing product.

    Slight clouding on headlight lenses...

...should XMT 1 and a white pad on the Flex clean it up? The car is only three years old, but the hot Florida sun does things to headlights if you don't keep up with them. :(

    Most durable Collinite?

I have 845 and really like it, it's a fantastic product, looks good, phenomenal longevity. I'm quite sure that several coats of 845 on top of several coats of Klasse SG are what saved my paint from completely degrading over the past couple years with little to no attention. But on the few...

    Buffing question: help-a-noob :-)

Welp, the bonnets *look* like they'll fit the Flex, but you just never know. Sure would suck if the bonnets flew off in mid-detail and I was to grind the bare backing plate into my paint. So, I guess I will call AG [again] tomorrow. I was just hoping to get some advice tonight so I...

    Buffing question: help-a-noob :-)

Well, I'm not really new but I haven't been around in a long time. I won't even say how long it's been since I detailed my car because some of y'all might stroke out. :p Be that as it may, I am now able to go back to detailing, and I'm buying a Flex and a bunch of other stuff to make it go...

Anybody in Tampa, FL interested in detailing my car for some $$?

Well, happy b-day, dengood1...if I'm reading the subtext of your last post, correctly, that is. :) I know it doesn't sound like a fun detail (no PC work...not enough swirl marks to warrant thatyet), but I hope someone needs a few extra bucks. I'm going to PM those guys you suggested, but I...

Anybody in Tampa, FL interested in detailing my car for some $$?

I have all my own products, I just need the labor. No PC work but I want it clayed. What I have/want used: Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo w/Schmitt Clay w/Wolfgang lube (new clay bar to be purchased before detail, so you can choose what clay I get) Klasse AIO You can use your own sealant...

    Shelby @ 12 weeks

Best thread ever! I love all the doggie pix!! :D My $0.02: crate training really helps most dogs get control of their bladder. They don't like to go where they have to lay so they hold it much longer. Of course don't put them in the crate when you're home, and when they're really young the...

    No Wipe Paint Sealants

This sounds awesome for a seriously lazy bones like me!! Is it here yet???? :p :D I wouldn't go more than a couple of months without applying a new coat of anything, however, no matter how long they say it lasts. Learned that the hard way.

dengood--interesting about the black Schmitt. I haven't been around for a while and missed Justin's post. Sounds like a black Schmitt might be in my next order...not that I'm ever going to let my car get this dirty again or anything! But it sounds like a good thing to have. Grimm--ay yi yi...

    Stripping

Product layers, guys! As in, wax! :p When I get around to stripping all the layers of stuff of my car, I was planning to: 1) Do a 50/50 alcohol/water rubdown 2) Wash with something strong and alkaline like dishwashing liquid 3) Do another 50/50 alcohol/water rub 4) Clay with lots of lube...

    Six month's review

Well, it’s been a while since I posted here…life has kind of gotten in the way, plus I was “testing” my new products. Six months after learning here at Autogeek that detailing could be such a complex yet rewarding undertaking, I have some first-hand observations that may help some newbies...
