I used Carpro Eraser in between the polish and coating step (forgot to mention that).
A couple of side notes- I used the same coating for the wheels on the Mini and so far I’m really happy with the results. Also, after you use the coating, make sure you squirt water through the spray bottle...
Looks fantastic Paul. I have a question for you. When I was debating what to use for a polish before applying the McKee’s coating, I shied away from my one step of choice (HD speed) because it does have some LSP properties and I was worried the coating wouldn’t take as well. Did you do...
Thanks for the compliments. The color on mine is called Melting Silver and is actually more on the metallic gray side. I have a neighbor with a white silver Mini so I certainly couldn’t get that. [emoji3]

Greetings all,
I special ordered a Mini Cooper Clubman S a couple months ago and finally took delivery a couple weeks ago. While I was waiting for it I spent my team researching various coatings. Since it was my first attempt at using one of these, I went with McKee’s 37 as it was touted as...
Greetings all,
I ordered a new Mini Cooper S Clubman and it’s on a very slow boat from England at the moment. When I told the dealer not to wash it in any way when it comes in, the sales person looked at me sideways but the sales manager smiled and said “he knows what he’s doing”.
Anyways...
I found this forum a year ago when I bought my 2015 Silver Mustang. That poor car has been polished and waxed several times over with several different products purchased from AG in search of the ultimate "pop". While I have the car looking infinitely better than the day I picked it up, it...
I used the buff and shine microfiber finishing pad. I probably could have used something a little more aggressive on the Q5 but I'm still a little green at this and don't want to take any chances.

1). Orlando Florida 2) depends what you drive [emoji1]. My wife has a pearl white Suv and my car is silver so I do friends vehicles for practice and since I get bored working on our cars (and they are usually pretty spotless).
Someone that lives near me has a pearl black Ferrari 599 that...
Thank you everyone for the kind words.
A couple weeks ago I tried Speed for the first time on my Silver Mustang. I loved how it looked after the speed, but then topped it with Colonite 915 which seemed to take away some of the "wow" factor. I picked up Poxy during one of the cyber buster...
I detailed my friend's Q5 today as a Christmas present (I'm not a pro - just doing this for relaxation). The car had some nice swirls from whatever car wash he's been taking it to, but the worst part was the exhaust tips. Here's the a pic of the exhaust tip and swirls before I started...
Yesterday I used HDSpeed on my Silver 2015 Mustang since its was its first birthday (and the weather was finally nice in Florida). I used a buff and shine microfiber pad and the results were stunning. The paint looked clearer with more metal flake showing through than I've seen with any...
I started to wax my car this morning by hand with Collinite 915. Two wipes in I thought why am I doing this by hand? Switched to the DA and finished in no time.

IT manager for a cruise line. My team is responsible for deploying new hardware and software to a (relatively) small fleet of ships.
I worked on the wash rack of a Cadillac dealership during the summers when I was home from college. The stories I could tell. Needless to say DO NOT EVER...
This is one of the few topics on here that I can speak to with some authority. I use both 845 and 915 on a regular basis. For the most part, I reserve the 915 for my Mustang. It looks and feels amazing not to mention the beading/sheeting it produces. Any other car that I do for friends...
