I have the greenworks 1700 from Lowes which I got during a holiday promo for $99 last year! I like it more then the 1500 because it wont tip over, a little more power and a few accessories. I also bought a foam cannon from AG and then the quick connects for the cannon from Lowes for about $7...
I have a cw gti and use 845 then typically top with wolfgang deep gloss sealant. Might be over kill but mentally makes me feel better and looks great. Ive also used the dodo juice light fantastic but prefer the pc 7424 and 845/wdgs combo
I'll chime in since I was in the same spot as you, only with one new candy white vw gti. The best advice I'll tell you is to simply do your research and then stick to the products you feel most comfortable. Everyone has an option or preference, but in the end just about all the products you...
I posted a similar question not to long ago and got some great feedback. Hope it helps...

Car came out great. I have a Candy white GTI with minimal swirl marks. The hatch area is a suction for crap and love how the iron x worked in your pics. Did you wash, iron x then polish? I was also wondering how did you go about doing the pillars. That's the area that shows the most swirl...
Could you imagine how spoiled women would be if we treated them like our cars?
Think about the research we put into doing a good job. Hours and hours of research and questions in order to get our facts and direction right simply by asking our peers and the experts.
Then we get to the...
The same thing happens to me when I use mine. I posted this same question a while back and Mike and a few others responded. I haven't been out to try it yet due to the weather in Ohio. Light to no pressure the pad spins. When I apply a little bit of pressure it doesn't rotate well or consistent
I was just reading another post and there were pics of a nice engine compartment. I've had my car for 1.5 years and have never once done anything in this area with the exception of a quick wipe once or twice. This area on my GTI tends to be dusty and was wondering if theres a quick easy way to...
I might as well chime in since everyone always helps me. I have a 1700 psi greenworks pressure washer from Lowes and a foam cannon. I love it but some soaps work much better then others and adjusting the settings helps. I will only use DP extreme foam or honey dew foam going forward. By far...
I've used my pc 7424xp a several times and love it, but for some reason I dont think I'm getting the proper rotation from my pad. I found a few links on here (cant find anymore) and it tells you to put a black sharpie line on the backing plate. I did this and when I apply a wax it doesn't spin...
I haven't been on here for a few months, but just had a great break in weather and did a 6 hour detail on the GTI today. I wanted to look something up before I applied my glaze when I came across this thread. I agree that this is one of the best forums around. I've learned so much and it...
It's these
Shop Style Selections 2-Pack Dryer Balls at Lowes.com
They work great for micro fiber or all cloths. I use them in every load. For micro fiber simply turn on low heat and leave balls in the dryer. I've never had an issue with static either
I use two of those blue fluffing balls when I dry all of my cloths and micro fibers. There was a huge and instant difference the first time I used them. Tennis balls might also work
