Spray & Rinse Products = Water Spots?

I've been using McKee's Hydroblue spray & rinse sealant as a topper to my ceramic coated black car; I've used it maybe 4 or 5 times since April, and noticed a significant amount of waterpots and hazing (everywhere) compared to previous years where I washed it using the same process minus the...

Is there an isopropyl based drying aide?

First off you have an amazing memory! Thank you so much for posting the links to those discussions from 2013! very informative. As far as which soaps I've used, I've tried them all, except the car pro brands since their pricing is just not realistic. Bottom line, after rinsing, all soaps...

Is there an isopropyl based drying aide?

 So take you favorite non-wax car soap, use it to wash a clen clear wine glass at home, blow dry it and wait a few minutes, you will find a slight haze, even if it is the slightest amount. Adding an SiO2 or Polymer drting aide on top of it will seal it in, that's why I'm looking for...

Is there an isopropyl based drying aide?

Looking for an isopropolyn based drying aide (not a panel prep) which contains lubricants but no protection. I just want to wipe away any remaining soap residue/film left behind after washing and air-blowing the car. I feel that air-drying the car doesn't remove all the soap residue as towel...

I have a few of old products that I want to use up as drying aides, (1/4 gallon of Beadmaker, 1/2 gal of TEC 582, etc) can I put these full strength in the foam cannon and just speay the car after the final rinse? will it clog up the cannon? I use a gas pressure washer with an output of 2.7GPM...

CarPro Essence Primer - Cure time and IPA wipe down

Agreed, the whole reason I went with a Primer polish is b/c I hate IPA wipe-downs, how grabby they feel as they start to flash off and how ridiculously expensive they are for just being water diluted isopropyl alcohol. Instead of spending $16 for a bottle of eraser, I'd rather pay an extra $16...

CarPro Essence Primer - Cure time and IPA wipe down

Thank you! Found the answer @29:00 of the video; If polishing by machine, wait 24-hours, apply coating, no IPA wipedown needed!

Buffing off Sonax PNS using a water based detailer

If you've ever applied PNS (especially in the summer in FL) you know what a PITA it is to buff off, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried buffing it off using a water-based detailer like IGL enhancer? (apply PNS, spray a light mist of a detailer on top and buff off) My understanding is that it...

CarPro Essence Primer - Cure time and IPA wipe down

I've searched the forums but I can not get a straight answer (I know shocking) on what it seems to be a simple binary question Q - Using essence, by machine, as a ceramic coating primer, do you need a 24 hour cure time before applying the ceramic coating? I've read YES, to allow the oils to...

    Stubborn Tire Browning

Ha! If you're referring to that spray can of eagle one tire shine which was sticky like glue and lasted for months, I know exactly which one you're referring to, b/c I used it and liked it b/c it lasted for months and at the time I was driving 20k miles per year, so I would change tires every...

    Stubborn Tire Browning

Yes the foam comes out white in the last pass, I dried the tires by hand with a yellow MF towel, using IPA spray until no more black residue shows up on the towel and after the tires are fully dried, they still show browning on the sidewalls, almost like a permanent stain.

    Stubborn Tire Browning

Thank you! so after the tires are thoroughly cleaned, I should just apply the tire dressing on top of the blooming?

    Stubborn Tire Browning

Any tips on how to remove stubborn tire browning? I've washed these tires 3x over the past month, scrubbed them pretty good with APC, McKee's Tire Rejuvenator, and Blackfire tire & wheel cleaner. I have not applied any dressing on them b/c the browning is so bad. These tires are continental...
