new car - clay or klasse one step?

:whs: With the possible exception that I don't think you need to re-wash after claying if you're going to use K-AIO before the HG

    Some Detailing Questions????

The "official" motto is "Wash - Clay - Polish (true abrasive polish) - Protect. Looks like your order is correct but a few comments to share: 1) I have no experience with liquid clay bar but have seen several comments posted on line that it is not as affected as "real" clay. 2) Nufinish...

Looks great... I love seeing reflections on a white car. Hope you enjoyed the process as much as the results.

    1. Correct 2. Correct (although, as mentioned) some will wash with a mitt and then before rinsing "wash" with clay using the soapy water as the lube, then rinse and dry. 3. Both Meg's and Clay magic kit come with a bottle of QD/lube. I wouldn't use the Pinnacle QD for claying, it's to...

    What am I doing wrong

There should be a washer between the polisher and the backing plate.

First detail this sunday but still confused

The only thing I'd mention is, I usually don't bother with drying after washing if I'm going straight to clay. Just spritz the panel, clay, then dry.

As far as over-the-counter clays go, I think they probably mentioned Clay Magic rather than Black Magic, personally I like the Meguires clay kits, they come with clay, qd lube, and a mf towel, all for around 15 - 20 bucks. Check out the videos available on the AG site for explanations of how to...

No, you do not need a buffer to apply waxes or sealants. I (and many others) prefer to apply waxes and sealants by hand.

    Correct 'Full Detail' Procedure?

Yep, that's what I do because of water restriction in my area... if you grab a 5 gallon bucket with a water tight lid, you can mix it at home (with distilled water), then use the coin ops water for rinsing.

Sorry about that, got a little confused. While good lighting is always a good idea, it's very important when correcting paint (scratch and swirl removal) especially if you want something in the 95 - 100% perfect range. I don't think you need halogens to wax your car, as long as there is...

    Klasse Twins or Wolfgang Twins?

MHO Klasse twins win in durability WG wins in easy of use As far as looks, it's apples to oranges - Klasse leaves a SHINE, but is considered by many to be very sterile (not a "wet" look, just SHINEY). WG on the other hand tries to emulate the look of a wax more, so it's a little less shiney...

How do you use the PC at the car wash? All you need for the halogens is an outlet.

VODKA more than just a drink

Per an episode of Myth Busters, vodka doesn't work as a prevention for poison oak/ivy... but several of the other uses did prove to be true (it was apparently a good odor remover).
