While seeing this, can i remove color with a normal clay from my blue colored single stage paint or is that always overspray ? I know that my Tailgate was repainted cause it has around 120µ while the rest of the car has about 80-90µ paint thickness. I clayed my roof and my blue clay turned dark...

Maybe soak it in Mequairs #7 for a day or 2 to get the paint soft again. For me it looks like dried Skin and the #7 is the "body lotion" for the paint, but Mike will surely tell you what to do. He did "some" old cars before *g*

Menzerna doesn't recommend using water to prime the Pad, you're just watering the compound and lower it's potential abrasiveness . And half a hood is way to big. Just use 40cm by 40 cm squares and 4 dots for the first pass, after that u can use 2 per square.
