The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Just the standard 2 bucket wash and periodic application of IGL Premier (the coating is IGL Poly). It's been working great on my wife's coated Escalade that i did a few months ago. Once I finally get authorized to apply Kenzo, i'll probably polish the Poly off and coat it with that.

What Trailer Type are You Using to Pull Out Your Customers Boats?

If you’re pulling them and not towing very far, you should be able to get away with a trailer rated for up to a 26’ boat. Definitely go with an aluminum trailer with bunks instead of rollers. In most cases you can fit an undersized boat without issues. There’s many brands out there but Venture...

    Logo Design

Thanks for the advice guys. Brand identity is what I’m trying to build. Once I have some designs to mull over, I’ll post them up. I already have a couple simple but striking colors in mind that are going to be prevalent in all my business cards, t shirts, email, Ad’s etc. Sent from my iPhone...

    Boat Pricing

I’m just circling back in this one in case it’s useful for anyone in the future. $14 per ft per step worked out well for both myself and the client. As expected, it was a lot of work (approx 23 hours) but he will be bringing me one of his other boats in the next few weeks for a standard detail...

    Boat Pricing

I have a client with two boats he wants done. My business model doesn’t include boats just because of the logistics of everything but I love working on boats, these fit in my garage and I’m sure I will be picking up vehicles from him and those in his network after the boats are done The two...

Hello from CT and a thank you

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I’ve got an Escalade ESV on deck that appears to have made plenty of trips through a car wash so I’ll be getting plenty of practice photographing some 50/50 shots. I have to paint the garage and hang up some new lights first. My intent is to keep a 100%...

Hello from CT and a thank you

Hi everyone, I’ve been a lurking member for about seven years now. In that time I’ve been toying with the idea of starting my own detailing business by scouting online forums for business and technical info & continuing to detail cars for my family and friends as I have since I was about 15. I...
