How are you liking the XT. I liked the idea of the XT but the WRX just felt so much better to me. Also in my opinion the foresters seats are really uncomfortable. I never got a chance to drive the XT on the interstate just at lower speeds.
In my experience it can be applied to paint, plastic (I have a 13 outback I know the lower plastic all too well) and rims. I have not tried it on the B pillars or glass. I'm pretty sure I read not to apply it to glass.
That's awesome! I would love a setup like that. Do you have any issue with the foam cannon and the lower power pressure washer? I've been wanting to get that little pressure washer but I've heard it can't power a foam cannon well. Any input would be appreciated.
I've ordered the chemical guys 12 professional 16x16 silk edged towels appear to be the same as the ones from AG. Same tag slightly different shade of gold. I got them for $16.50 or so on subscribe and save with free shipping.
Application was super easy and since I couldn't find the hex-grip applicators I just grabbed a Sonax sponge from amazon and it worked great not grippy at all. The MF towel was a little grippy but wasn't too bad bc I was expecting it. I haven't tested out the beading yet had to head out as soon...
Glad to find this review as I just ate some clear coat off my wheels today with a degreaser that was diluted too strong I was using on my tires. Now I need new center caps and my wheel look kinda ugly now.
Guess I will learn
If you go to detailersdomain.com on their blog they do "new car preps" all the time in some cases straight from getting the car off the truck and some of the pictures of swirls and scratches on those cars is amazing. So I doubt you put those swirls in the car it more than likely came that way...
I plan on trying the Sonax Paint cleaner on my vehicle that is a year old. It has almost no defects. I plan on using it as a one step polish with a green pad and my Griots DA on my soft Subaru paint. I plan to follow that up with a layer of Sonax Polymer Net Shield.
This will be my first use...
I also have a subaru and I've never polished my paint. My car is new and I was planning on trying Sonax perfect finish since I have hardly any defects in the paint. I'm looking for a pad recommendation. I also have the Chemical Guys V line of polishes.
I really want to give this a try on my Subi now. Do you mind telling me where you got the hex applicator you used in the video to apply? I've been looking for them and can't seem to find them.
