No bad reactions at all - The KAIO will easily remove the polishing oils that M80 leaves behind so you will see the true condition of your paint. It's just that alcohol is much cheaper to use than KAIO when it comes to removing polishing residue.

Same here - I have not used any of the new coatings but i have yet to find an LSP that is negatively affected by the use of KAIO and the subsequent base protection it leaves

Some AIOs are have a really good chemical cleaning component that rivals standalone/dedicated pre-wax products...they just happen to also leave behind some protection on their own. Klasse AIO, Zaino AIO, DG 501, ColorX are good examples of these.

I have a non-XP PC, Flex 3401 (primary tool), and a cheap Harbor Freight rotary. Because you have a very capable (in fact, quite awesome) rotary already, i would highly recommend that you get a GG6 or equivalent random DA instead of the Flex 3401. Don't get me wrong - I love my Flex as it is...

Nice work with the rental! I've had a few of them in the past when my car was in the shop for some repair work. I also tend to view them as a "blank canvas" to try different things - heck, I practiced/refined my rotary skills on a few rentals.

I have only used orange crush but the look was fantastic. Let's be honest though - you will purchase orange crush, be enamored by the result, but then start to think "what if?". You will then proceed to AG and purchase the banana armor as well. :P

Without a doubt get a polisher...if anything, it saves your arms from feeling like rubber after a lengthy polishing session - which is key to holding up the obligatory post-detail beer...

I really like Last Touch and use it undiluted - application can be very finicky. Surface must be cool and you need a spray head that really atomizes product well.

I also prefer to apply it to a dry car - the slickness is much better than when used during the drying stage. It is my booster spray wax/sealant of choice.
