Gyeon Wetcoat and Matte Black Wheels

Thank you guys! I am willing to trade just a little of the look if it means protection from the elements. This is great to hear.

Gyeon Wetcoat and Matte Black Wheels

I have matte black BBS wheels and would like to add some level of protection. The car is a daily driver that gets hand-washed once (maybe twice) a month. I was thinking that a spray-and-rinse product for the wheels as part of the monthly routine would be a good balance of protection and...

Headlight sealant: spar urethane vs. opti coat 2.0

Ray - Not meaning to derail the great discussion at hand but I (and many others I'm sure) am very grateful for the knowledge and experience that you are sharing with us. You have been very professional, thorough and candid in your responses. Thanks again...

What Polish to use before Klasse AIO & SG?

No bad reactions at all - The KAIO will easily remove the polishing oils that M80 leaves behind so you will see the true condition of your paint. It's just that alcohol is much cheaper to use than KAIO when it comes to removing polishing residue.

What Polish to use before Klasse AIO & SG?

M83/M80/KAIO/SGx3 was my combo that I used for several years M83/M80 will provide some good correction but you will need to do an alcohol wipe after M80 to check actual correction. While M80 does have correction functionality, it has a light amount of polishing oils that can also conceal...

Beading is gone after one wash

:iagree: I will admit that Turtle Wax (insert any OTC brand here) produces their fair share of duds, but they are getting better as a majority of their stuff is decent. Occasionally, they even produce something that can compete with the very best. In my experience, TW Ice shampoo appears to...

Can you use a AIO, then top with a nuba?

Same here - I have not used any of the new coatings but i have yet to find an LSP that is negatively affected by the use of KAIO and the subsequent base protection it leaves

Can you use a AIO, then top with a nuba?

Some AIOs are have a really good chemical cleaning component that rivals standalone/dedicated pre-wax products...they just happen to also leave behind some protection on their own. Klasse AIO, Zaino AIO, DG 501, ColorX are good examples of these.

    flex or groits, Rotary user

I have a non-XP PC, Flex 3401 (primary tool), and a cheap Harbor Freight rotary. Because you have a very capable (in fact, quite awesome) rotary already, i would highly recommend that you get a GG6 or equivalent random DA instead of the Flex 3401. Don't get me wrong - I love my Flex as it is...

    Quick Rental Car Cleanup

Nice work with the rental! I've had a few of them in the past when my car was in the shop for some repair work. I also tend to view them as a "blank canvas" to try different things - heck, I practiced/refined my rotary skills on a few rentals.

    Which DoDo?

I have only used orange crush but the look was fantastic. Let's be honest though - you will purchase orange crush, be enamored by the result, but then start to think "what if?". You will then proceed to AG and purchase the banana armor as well. :P

to buy or not to buy a polisher?

Without a doubt get a polisher...if anything, it saves your arms from feeling like rubber after a lengthy polishing session - which is key to holding up the obligatory post-detail beer...

    Megs Last Touch

I really like Last Touch and use it undiluted - application can be very finicky. Surface must be cool and you need a spray head that really atomizes product well.

    DG AquaWax....Silly me!

I also prefer to apply it to a dry car - the slickness is much better than when used during the drying stage. It is my booster spray wax/sealant of choice.
