I have three sets for my BMW, the original carpet ones, Weather Tech and Coco Mats. The coco mats are in the car 90% of the time - mostly due to style. Out here in Seattle we don't have to worry about all that salt so the Weather Techs don't get used much. My truck has weathertech's in it 100%...

I regularly use Megs d156 after my washes. No problems or adverse affects and really helps with beading.

My truck had a similar issue, I just bought a steering wheel cover and was done with the issue

D114 is my goto wash method, only I use the Gary Dean method. I also add a pre-step where I mist each panel with D114 before washing. I follow up with Megs D156 to add some protection.

I've been using Megs Ultimate Quick Wax on my Alpine white F30 328i and using Megs D156 after every wash. For a quick detailer I have been using Griots Speed Shine. I am happy with results.

Speaking of mats, I'd pull those and drop-in some classic Coco Mats
