:iagree: The cracks can't be sanded out unless you want a whole; it's time for a new lens once this happens. lol sanding like skin exfoliation cuts back all the weathering and open pores getting to a new surface with smaller pores and from that you get the length. the compounding and cleaner wax...
Yeah I'm fixing up the site right now so it's not in published mode ha. The plastic of the headlight wont yellow after three months the way I've been doing it. Not one customer has mentioned it and all of my cars and salvaged cars are still new as day one going on year 1 1/2 since I started...

If there are cracks in the lens it's pretty much done, time for a new headlight unless you just want it clear like new. If the headlight is yellowish or cloudy to any degree sanding will pull it. 400 to 600 to 1500 then compound with xp compound threw auto magic and use a wool pad with a buffer...
I use heavy cut xp compound threw auto magic instead of going to 2000, going to 2000 doesn't really make a difference. Then I put the cleaner to protect a little more and just take those slight scratches form the compound out leaving a very new like lens. Try it. next tip I'll charge lol
Those are hairline cracks in the Headlight lens. You will have to sand very very deep to pull those out if you can. Start with 400 for a while then cut up to 600 and finish with 1500 then heavy compound and cleaner wax. If this doesn't work then just suggest new lens.
Yeah dealerships want the best work for the cheapest price. A detailer has to learn ways to get threw things faster and the products that give the best results for the time needed... 40 and 50 are both way to low if your ever considering hiring!
