    Road Trip Planned

Looks like a fantastic trip. It appears you will be in Cedar Rapids, IA , which is where I live. A really great stop for a rider, or anyone for that matter, is the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, IA. Within 30 minutes north of Cedar Rapids. Hundreds of bikes on display.

Driving new car from Dealer to Detailer - blue tape or scraps of Xpel for temporary paint protection?

Looks like you figured it out just fine. I use blue painter's tape and not the really good stuff either especially for shorter drives. The more expensive brand is much tackier than the cheaper stuff which means less residue. Now, if I was driving across Florida I'd pop of the better tape.

    Do right by your customer

Whenever someone treats me with the honesty you exhibited I would bring them more work in the future if the need arose. Mike P. quoted the famous Kenny Rogers and I'll add another favorite quote of mine, "The better part of valor is discretion" compliments of William Shakespeare.

    11 year Anniversary at Autogeek

Congratulations on a life well lived and lots of life yet to be lived! As Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” and it appears you choose the right one.

    Chrome wheel issues

Improvement is the understatement of the day! What a turn around. Never Dull has been around forever and has been used on everything from chrome to brass to super soft copper with amazing results. How many cans of Never Dull did it take

Pulling out at Green Peter Reservoir circa 2001 - 1970 Sanger Drag Boat 1969 Chevy Blazer CST 4x4

Fantastic pics and loved the story! While not a boat person I enjoy the time you took to 'just chat' with us. While in the service I was stationed at Twentynine Palms I became good friends with a GS civilian. He had what I refer to as a bullet boat with a big block 427 and straight pipes we...

Which has better quality Mothers or Meguiars?

I agree with PaulMys and Rrthomas78 on Mothers, Meguires and Griots having an entire line-up and why that matters. One of the major advantages prior to finding Autogeek decades ago, it seems is that both Mothers and Meguires are readily available. That still holds true today. However once...

How not to scratch interior plastics and nav screen, does that exist?

Eldorado has covered all the pertinent things very well in terms of MF and process. Use high quality MF for delicate surfaces such as gauge cluster and some of the interior plastics and your interior detailer/cleaner directly on the MF, not the surface to be cleaned. He also states that the...

Which has better quality Mothers or Meguiars?

OP: both lines offer many high quality products and as others have stated "value" is a subjective item when you lump everything those two companies make into one choice. I apply Mike Phillips rule, find something you like and use it often!! You are I are similar when it comes to who we...

Complete INTERIOR/EXTERIOR High-End Auto Car Detailin with Deep Machine Carpet Cleaning

Fantastic work! Doing the interior isn't the glamorous side of detailing but it sure makes a huge difference if done right, like you did here. I find it curious that the vast majority of us detailers spend hours and hours, sometimes days working over the exterior and yet it's the interior...

303 aerospace protectant stained the plastic in my vehicle. How to fix?

Been using 303 for decades on dozens of different cars interiors and have never had an issue with it. Those stains do not follow how application of any product would actually produce them. They appear more random in shape than what you'd see by applying a product, by that I mean when product...
