Any pics of the mudflap for the test areas? I've been looking for days on headlight restore to get a good process down. I'd hate to offer a service just to have the customer's headlight revert back to the ugly cloudy mess it was before.
What is the D300 you referenced?
drive city/hwy with short 4 mile commutes to work or weekends longer trips around the city. I haven't washed in 3 weeks so I'll double bucket wash it with a grit guard bucket for rinse water. I need to get a routine to wash weekly so I can get a good polish of slight swirls out and wax on it...
So for a daily driven car, rinse less wash is not ideal? I don't have a lot of shade or covering to wash my car at my rental home. I just want the least aggressive wash for the car.
Want is the best scenarios for the rinse less wash? garage kept or classic cars that are stored?
Is this necessary for only heavy soiled cars? We just had rain for a week on our daily driven car and washed last 3 weeks ago. I rent a home and want to use the rinse-less wash. Would this be safe for the paint? I need to polish this car after having it a year and get a good wax on it asap.
Thanks Charley for the link to the page! We should meet up if you come to the cars and coffee meet this Saturday. I want to get my cars looking the best and possibly do it part time for extra cash.
I was raised in Memphis, TN and after leaving for Indianapolis to be near my wife's family for 6...
I just want to jump into this conversation to gather some information. I am learning and the same mind set as most in the sense I want to do every inch of the car to the best of my ability but that's time consuming and most just want it shiny. I don't really time myself but is average times of...
Just moved to Mt Pleasant, SC and wanted to find some local detailers to the Charleston area. Beautiful place with lots of nice weather and I'm sure more people want clean cars and proper care wih the salty air.
checking to see if any other active members live in the Charleston, SC area. I'm moving to Mt Pleasant, SC Thursday. I would like to get back to learning and find some locals to polish with.
I wold understand that price if it was a business job site. High volume cars, 1 setup, and able to drive to one spot for a few hours to save fuel cost. Paydays for big buildings would be the best day to offer that service in constant rotation of cars.
I couldn't see that price for single jobs.
I would love the professional detail bag to tote my polisher and supplies with me wherever I go. Plus it could double as a trunk organizer bag as well. I would to win a free bag since I don't have one yet.
I bought a 96 Acura 2.5TL in 99 as a previously leased car. I was 18 and that it was the sweetest thing on the road. I spent a lot of wheel time in that car. Then in 2005, when my moms car was giving out, I let her have it. She spent some cash on maintenance but way less than a car payment of a...
