It's probably about a 1/4" wide and its below the surface.

Is clear coat failure because of some I did or didn't do? I have never had any of my other cars do this before. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening again on other parts of the car?

Just noticed this a couple weeks ago on the drivers side door. I have know idea exactly what it is but I'm sure more than one person on here will. If it makes a difference the vehicle is a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Let me know what you guys think it is and how you would fix it. I'm guessing at...
