I've got the exterior part of detailing down, but what about the interior?

Detailing is without a doubt a very competitive field. We've worked very hard to separate our detailing from others in the area. In the majority of the time, you are dead on when it comes to the average daily driver and some moderately priced vehicles. Our goal is to gain the trust of the...

I've got the exterior part of detailing down, but what about the interior?

Many people ask why it takes so long, but when they see the work, they understand. We are known for our interior detailing and we've got a number of clients that travel over 200 miles for us to detail their cars/trucks. Nothing is overlooked or taken for granted. Although we are not the...

Looking for more cut. Megs MF disks and D300 or foam pad and M105?

Megs MF cutting pads with M105 make a very good cutting step. Of course, you will need to follow up with a foam pad and lighter polish to finish it off.

I've got the exterior part of detailing down, but what about the interior?

True interior detailing takes a lot of patience and time. In my shop it's very common to have two detailers work 4 - 6 hours detailing the interior. There are no cutting corners here, just a lot of hard work. Detailing all the nooks and crannies, instruments panels, consoles, vents, knobs...

Need some help choosing CG compound(s)

I take out sanding marks from 2000 and up. Sometimes 1500 if the clear is soft. I've been know to use the DA to remove scratches caused by the owner of the car using the Green Sctoch Brite pads to remove bird residue. With a DA, there is less chance of buring thru the paint, but I would...

    deep black paint

The orange pad is your problem. First step is good with the Orange Pad, Second step you should use possibly a White pad, then move to the Black pad for your last polishing step. You can also use the black pad, or softer pad, for applying your sealant. Hope this helps...

    Bare Bones ?

Bare Bones is great for wheel wells and visible suspension components. Gives nice gloss to areas usually missed during a typical detail.

    Starting a website

I'm a detailer, not a web designer. So, I hired a web pro to build ours. Just launched it this past week and it's looking great. See for yourself: Pristine Detailing

    Working with dealerships?

At my shop, we turn down dealer work all the time. We do exceptional quality details for our clients and it wouldn't be fair to them for us to rush through their cars just to cater the cheap paying ones from the stealers. Besides, when the stealers return me the favor of reducing their prices...

    Car covers

:iagree:I always tell our clients to invest in window tent, windshild visor, and a high quality sealer/wax before they consider a car cover. I've seen so many car covers do more damage to the paint surfaces then leaving them uncovered. Not a good choice for protection IMO....
