Cannot get rid of swirls, or am i creating them?

It could be any number of things. If it's a half-moon pattern, there could be a bit of debris caught in the pad that marred the paint. Without being there in person to assess it, the culprit is hard to determine. As stated above, try another test spot after thoroughly inspecing your pads and...

Fire vs. Blackfire Pro Ceramic Coating

Update - 3 weeks later after the fire I have washed and deconned the fire soot and such from these two vehicles that were in our garage fire. They have been sitting outside the last three weeks as well. Both are beading water like crazy. Bang for the buck, I will put this Blackfire ceramic...

Tire cleaning product that won’t stain polished aluminum

Dr. Beasley's wheel cleanser is a great product. I've used it on several wheel types and no issues.

Fire vs. Blackfire Pro Ceramic Coating

Well we had a garage fire in our house yesterday. Fortunately it didn’t spread to the house. I had a propane torch on the work bench that the handle melted on, plus two 5-gallon diesel containers for my tractor and a 2 gallon unleaded for my push mower under the bench where the fire originated...

    Super soft finicky paint

My project today took a bit to dial in. Test spots and finicky paint. Three test spots and the end result is a super soft clear coat. The winning combo is Dr Beasley’s NSP45 with a yellow BuffnShine polish pad to cut and Rupes Uno Pure with a Lake Country CCS black applicator pad to finish...

    What would you use?

I agree with Rsurfer. Get the Griot's G9. I've used Wolfgang Uber compound, polish, and paint sealant for years and liked the results.

    Vintage PBMG Products

While I do appreciate the PBMG products vintage factor, I very much more appreciate the glass bottles etc. of the early 1900's Meguiars products etc. There is sooooooo much more vibe and history than anything post 1980 and on. Kind of like the car designs. :D

Is anyone's car in pristine condition?

My new Camry that my wife bought me for our 20th anniversary isn't pristine. The driver's side door jambs have permanent scuffs from my work boots. I had another detailer apply PPF to the front and I ceramic coated it. It looks mostly pristine, but I own the car and I'm going to drive it. If...

    An argument with a detailer

This is why I do a walk-around with customers and point out any obvious issues when they arrive to have me detail their car. Most things are obvious when the car is dirty. However, when you state that you don't think it was there before, and now it is, makes it a very difficult thing to prove...

    Best Rinseless Wash Towels?

90% of the vehicles I do are rinseless. The towels I use are 16x16 Eagle Edgeless Microfiber Towel - Blue I also use a traditional two bucket method with a microfiber wash mitt. Either way works great.
