CarPro Perl and Reload on Floor Mats

Re: CarPro Perl & Reload on Floormats Try Carpro Pearl at about 20:1 with water on the mats. I splash a bit on, spread it out with a brush, and then wipe the excess off with a towel. Gets the mats looking much better with no slipping around. Pearl at about 20:1 is my go to for...

Rupes Groits 3 inch or 5

Mike - can you recommend a Griots comparable set of products to replace the Rupes yellow pad and Sonax Perfect finish? Guessing the Groits yellow pad and Correcting Cream? Just wanting to remove light to medium scratches, no swirl marks and as I mentioned, wanting a one step system for now.

Rupes Groits 3 inch or 5

I have am email from Groits customer service saying no. From the message: Hi Mike, Thank you for taking the time to email us here at Griot's Garage. Unfortunately we do not have an orbital that is compatible with both a 5 and 3 inch backing plate.

Rupes Groits 3 inch or 5

I was thinking that a 3 inch machine would take a lot more time than a 5 inch machine on the large areas such as the hood, roof, door panels, etc. Regarding the backing plate switching; Rupes, Groits, Portal Cable all say no. You cannot switch from a 3 inch plate to a 5 or 6 inch plate. At first...

Rupes Groits 3 inch or 5

Help me see logic here. I’m back into detailing and it’s time to start one step polish. That’s for two cars, one or two polishes per car per year. Both cars have lots of small areas, like 3 inch width areas. My ego wants a Rupes kit which with everything I’ll need (do consider this would be a...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Using your instructions of course! Thanks for that bit of advise. Super easy on and off. This morning before the 4th layer I dried the car off with a 12X12 MF towel. Nothing seems to stick to SG. :xyxthumbs:

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

4th layer of Klasse SG (across three weekends...maybe 4?), Klasse AIO on the exterior windows, and some Sonus Acrylic Glanz on the door jams. As a first time user of Klasse, hoping to see 6 months of protection now with not much more than bi-weekly mantenance washes with a bit of the Sonus Glanz.

For the Klasse Pros - How to Wash

Thanks folks. I’m going to give the Carpro Reset a shot. I like how they call out not having anything extra. Keeping it simple.

For the Klasse Pros - How to Wash

After a 10 year hiatus of detailing my daily driver I've jumped back in and spent yesterday (IPA, Clay, AIO and SG) and this morning (SG) with the Klasse twins on a brand new, no dealer detail, dark silver car. Great experience in the Klasse process and the outcome. First a shout out to Klasse...
