What about the initial rinsing off the car before washing? You have jetstream of water at differing pressures, depending on the person, pushing down against the dirt and sliding it off the paint at varying angles. I would think that would do as much damage over time as blow drying. Mike

I used to hang them on plastic hangers and then hang the hangers off of door sills until they dried. I started drying them in the dryer to speed up the process and I think they come out softer this way. They have more static cling, but are softer. I then inspect, fold, and put away. :) Mike
