And, anyone got a source for the 20g ClO2 tablets?

Thanks guys, sounds like several good options! Do you suppose one is better than the others? So does ozone not do the job?

    Smoke removal

Hey guys, What the best way to move cigarette smoke odor? We bought a car a year ago with quite a bit of cigarette smoke residual. I spent about 2 days detailing the car: changing the cabin filter, blowing out and vacuuming out the vents, scrubbing the headliner, leather seats, carpets...

What PH neutral soap is everyone using these days?

Late to the party, but I've learned quite a bit here. Does anyone apply hyperwash with a pump type foaming sprayer? If so, any ratios to recommend?

Headlights, wet sand then polish, or cutting compound?

The 3M wipes I'm planning to use claim up to 2 years UV protection... Item no 32516. They came in a kit with a 3 inch disc of trizact 3000 grit for about $7. Maybe these will last?

Headlights, wet sand then polish, or cutting compound?

ahh. I wondered that. I'm assuming wet sand with either of those grits? In that same vein, I called the body shop a few weeks ago about clear coating headlights when done. They said not to polish, only wet sand prior to clear coat. Is this the case for clearcoating paint jobs too...

Headlights, wet sand then polish, or cutting compound?

So I did the headlights on my wife's pilot tonight. Wet sanded with 1000-2000-3000, then polished with Ultimate Polish. Edit... I don't coat them yet, it started raining a bit, so I figured I'd do it tomorrow, I've got some 3m coating wipes that should work ok, I hope. Here's the before and...

Headlights, wet sand then polish, or cutting compound?

That's very helpful info, guys. I was mostly curious as to whether I needed to use compound (Meguairs UC) in between sanding and polish... But it sounds like I may be able to use UC compound instead of sanding, depending on condition of plastic...which would save a lot of time. I guess then it...

Headlights, wet sand then polish, or cutting compound?

More basic questions: I'm looking to do headlight restoration on several of my vehicles. Some of them are foggy enough that I might need to start wet sanding with 600 or 800 grit. I plan to carry the wet sanding up through 3000 grit . After wet sanding, I plan to polish with a drill pad or my...

Winter washing, new to all this

Holy cow, that's crazy pricing. Ours is probably $10 for a premium wash, that won't get it fully clean. My wife uses the brush wash on a monthly subscription basis, about $35 per month which includes MF towels and high powered vacuums... But it's a brush wash. (She has a silver car, and is...

Winter washing, new to all this

Thanks for all the input you guys. There may be days where I'll do the touchless wash, but I'm going to gear up for a periodic hands on wash... Touchless always leaves it a little dirty...but I'm sure not gonna use the brush washes in town....

Winter washing, new to all this

Hmm, good thought there. I think I'll do a hybrid of both, depending on how warm is the wash bay ...

Winter washing, new to all this

Incidentally, I'm going to apply fk1000p sealant prior to winter, to hopefully protect it better.
