You can clean off wheels after rain with a waterless wash. (Once theyre cooled down) However if you dry your paint after rain you are almost guaranteed to put swirls and/or scratches in your paint. Since there is dirt and debris on the surface.

SG is a PITA to remove if it dries. Have plenty of towels and QD handy.

Hey Sanman. Many people put vinyl over their roofs, just to change the color. Certain vinyl can be left on the car for over a year with no negative impact on the paint. Obviously I would clean the paint very well first. Consider putting vinyl only on the sections that are touched by the rack...

I personally wouldnt. It might affect your hoses. Use vinylex or regular armor all in there
