    Dull Paint

What is TSR, total swirl remover? Is that the same thing as the super intensive polish I have now, or is it more aggressive? Thanks again!

    Dull Paint

Thanks for the reply, Mike. I am fairly certain the clear coat is not failing, as it looks nowhere near as bad as the pictures you linked to. The pictures of the oxidation, however, are exactly what the paint looks like currently. I Believe I was using the super intensive polish on an orange...

    Dull Paint

Sorry, I listed them in the original post, but will list them out here for more clarity. Wash with foam gun and DP Xtreme clay 3 step menzerna (super intensive polish, super finish and final polish I believe, can't remember the exact names, can double check when I get home) Then I am waxing...

    Dull Paint

I have a 1998 Cherokee as my second vehicle. I have owned it for 3 years and have never detailed it, but I would now like to freshen it up a bit. Overall it's in pretty good shape for a 14 year old vehicle with 215K miles, but the only problem is the paint on it is very dull. I tried a test spot...

So I think I will order this kit. Menzerna polishes for ceramic clear coat paint, Porter Cable 7424 dual action buffer, Nano polish, super intensive, Lake Country pads, Show car kit If I just buy that at follow the steps on the bottom of the page, will this correct most of my problems? I...

Thanks guys. One more question. What advantages does the FLEX offer over the PC? If it will just get the job done quicker, then I don't really mind, I'll just take my time with the cheaper PC buffer. But if it offers some other big advantage that will have a positive effect on the final...

Please help me pick a buffer kit. Pics attached.

Thanks for all of the input so far. One of the recurring questions I had while browsing on my own was if my car has a ceramic clear coat? Some of the kits/polishes state that they are designed for ceramic clear coats. I am guessing my car isn't fancy enough to have such a coat, but does...

Hi guys. I started a thread about a year ago on here looking to do some paint correction. Unfortunately, I never got around to making a purchase. School started back up again, had no free time ect ect. BUT, now I am absolutely ready to buy a buffing kit for my car. I can't look at it any...

Please help me with paint correction

Well, I've done a bit more reading, and I think I will go with the Super Intensive kit, I don't want to get the regular intensive kit and have it not do good enough of a job. Do I run the risk of ruining my finish if my car's clear coat isn't thick enough to stand up to the super intensive...

My car was hit at the mall...can you figure this one out?

Hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it? Sorry to see that happen to you man. Hopefully someday you can get to the bottom of what actually happened.

So do you think the regular Menzerna Intensive Polish might not cut it for what I need to fix? If it does, I would probably rather buy that kit since it's $50 dollars cheaper than the ceramic kit.

Thank you both for the replies. Looking at the kits you've recommended, one looks like it's for ceramic clear coats? I'm not exactly sure what type of clear coat my car has. Would I be better off sticking with the regular intensive shine kit? Thanks again for all the help.

Please help me with paint correction

Hi everybody. This is my first post on the forums, but I've been reading on and off, and have learned a good deal. I have an issue with my 2001 Monte Carlo, being a 7 year old car, the black paint is starting to show it's age. This was a tough winter on it. I washed, clayed, and waxed the car...
