Anyone here using a leaf blower for drying?

Same boat-I own a silver car and 2 black cars own me. Used to use a gas blower, some folks here advised it would blow gas/oil on vehicle. Switched to electric Toro from HD, still unfiltered air. Bought a Turbo Dryer here and love it.

What is on this VW Clock and more and how to clean it?

I'd guess silicone overspray. Happened to me using 303. I've tried APC's to PlastX to polishes/compounds. It's etched, needs replaced. Mine at least.

    MF Towel Test

Great info. Seems the split is best used for cleaning ie Garry Dean style washes and non-split would be best used for products like Meg's Last Touch.

    MF Towel Test

I've heard that and that is very interesting. So this suggests the splitting of the MF causes the grabbing, not the quality itself. I have a lot to research and learn. Having all black vehicles I am very particular what touches them to minimize corrections.

    MF Towel Test

Ya, we thought of that when we returned and did our test and a guy with 60 grit hands tried it and still a big difference.

    MF Towel Test

Having time to kill in an airport, I recently viewed a few videos on youtube from Junkman2000. One regarding the microfiber towel quality intrigued me so I tried it. Just hold your hand palm up waiter style and drag a MF towel across it. The cheapies drag like velcro, the good ones glide right...

AG still setting off anti-virus alerts!

Sorry for the late response. I tried each way and the evgeneevich site tries to load from a Google link every time. Also tried a friends tablet in another state while visiting, same event. I was not logged in at the time. Like others, the link will not load and in the lower left it displays...

AG still setting off anti-virus alerts!

Agreed, many google links redirect to www.evgeneevich.com which is a malware site. This latest one, when I googled "autogeek nano vs clay" and clicked on the the detailing forum link (2nd search result on page) it attempted a redirect to above mentioned site. Sent it off to Google as well as...

Car wash technique for black cars

From everything I've read on AGO, a pressure washer will shoot grime across your paint causing marring on its' exit. Is that really a good first step? I now use mine only for undercarriage and wheel wells, they don't touch my black paint. Learned the hard way and what led me to this forum...

is there salt removal chemical for winter cleaning?

Not about time or money, we all spend plenty of both. So single digit temps making anything outdoors out, no drain in garage so you can't use running water and your car is a salt ball, you would go right to a RW? I assume you pre-spray? D114 is next once my ONR is out, perhaps that is safer...

is there salt removal chemical for winter cleaning?

I don't recall any of us saying it was a chore. RW's are quite easy. I'll go back and re-read. Again, we were looking to knock off the majority of grime before a RW when running water, car wash, pressure washer, etc are not an option due to frigid temps. I've pre-sprayed the panels with ONR for...
