New Black Yukon and the usual stuff

I do like Griots though, and I've got an ever expanding "To Try" list going. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

New Black Yukon and the usual stuff

Wow, that's a great looking engine bay! I think I'll try Perl out since I've already got some coming. Though I do think I'm in the market for more APC. Yeah aerosols definitely wouldn't be ideal for me. The only time I tried one was with Diamondites plastic lense cleaner, and while it worked...

New Black Yukon and the usual stuff

Of course it's pouring down rain on the first family trip in the new ride. AND our cabin is at the end of a very muddy gravel road. Which leads me to my next question: What are some recommendations on engine coatings? I'd like to help guard it against build up and debris. Shoot, I've not even...

New Black Yukon and the usual stuff

That was quite a read! Actually I glossed over most of it when I realized it was going in a direction I knew I wasn't going to have time for. A lot of that stuff I've always wondered about myself, but knew I'd drive myself crazy thinking about it when all that mattered most to me was how crazy...

All rubber mats are designed to do is make you realize how much better life is without them. Like cats. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

New Black Yukon and the usual stuff

I tried the seat cover idea on Momma, and she put that right to sleep. Which honestly, i'm not a big fan of either because I do love how the seats look. We are going to get some seat protectors for the car seats though. And I got some free Weathertech-style floor liners from the dealer, and we...

I'm good with it being beginner friendly! I've got a whole compliment of Wolfgang products, amongst others...from detailing my Mustang over the years, but have never messed with ceramic coatings. And I had looked into Wolfgang coating, but from what I've read it doesn't quite have the shine...

New Black Yukon and the usual stuff

Just brought home a new black Yukon and am considering putting a ceramic coating on it. It's the brand new family hauler, and we've got three small children, so I want to do everything I can to keep it looking good. I've been reading just a bit on the coatings and want to take advantage of the...

WG Uber as a touch up?

The car is still in great shape. My dad's garage triples as his man cave and play area when the grand kids visit. Though it is clean, I would be willing to feed my kids off the floor, the car has accumulated a fine layer of dust. And in the dust, I can see where little fingers have been run...

WG Uber as a touch up?

So this time last year, I went through all the WG steps to get my black Mustang looking good. I topped it with Fuzion, then took it to the beach. Afterwards, the car has sat in my dad's garage for the past year. Since I went the full gamut last year, I really don't feel the need to go through it...

Wolfgang Fuzion and Blackfire Midnight Sun questions

I've got both of those waxes, and my preference goes towards Fuzion. I've got a black Mustang, and the Fuzion gives the paint much more depth where the BFMS is just shine. Now, like I said, that is for my black car, and as Bunky said, it depends on how it reacts with your paint. They both go on...

    Wolfgang FG or PPE?

I was leaning more towards the FG the more I looked over the paint. I've got a PC and all the colors of the rainbow in pads.

    Wolfgang FG or PPE?

My Mustang gets a deep detail once a year, the rest of the time it stays garaged. (It's amazing what small kids do to your free time......) Last year I went through the Blackfire gauntlet of product, this year I'm going back to Wolfgang. Yesterday I gave her a good, sudsy, bath with CG citrus...

    Blackfire polish leaving a haze......

So after that initial panel, things took a turn. I do not have a clue what changed, but I could not get a clear finish to save my beard. I've never used GEP before and figured it would give me a nice touch up, but I never got the hang of it. I do not have any flat pads, so that might have been...

    Blackfire polish leaving a haze......

Yes. Black pad and working longer was the ticket. Which explains why my Griots was working better, as I believe those 3" red pads are equivalent to a black pad. Am going to follow with some Crystal Sealant then Black Ice (which I've yet to use, I tremble with anticipation) and call it a day...
