    New car

Hi. I just took delivery of a new 2016 Toyota Avalon LTD. It's Parisian Night Pearl. The body, paint seems to be great and smooth. So I'm thinking I won't clay it but I would like to hand wax it real soon. Which wax is best and or at least best for making the color pop?

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

And a slow setting, where the wax is saying to use an orbital buffer? Skip

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

Nice to know. So if I'm careful I should be able to use waxes that ask for a Buffer, and get fine results? Skip

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

I got it a few years back, but this looks like it.

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

I have been asking the reco folks at the dealerships I visit (I sell automotive ad specialties and such), and boy do you get a lot of different thoughts, suggestions, input. It would seem that many of these folks, while fine at the job, aren't the same kind of folks I see at independent shops...

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

The Rupes does seem like a great line of machines, I'll wait to see what others have to say. Skip

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

I'm guessing my Meguiars machine is fine for both cars, as long as I use waxes / polishes that work with this type of machine. I guess I'll do more reading and watching of video's here to see what is the best way of doing her car. Skip

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

I guess a machine that can use both small and large pads would be best, although if I have to get or the other, one that has larger pad will likely win out. The 2 cars for sure in question, would be my 2012 Avalon, and my wife's 2003 Camry. Her car is in BAD need of a make over. It's not been...

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

OK, so I just watch several of the video's here, and now have a much better handle on this question. To those who still want to pass along any tips or suggestions, please do.

    Which orbital buffer, and why?

There are a ton of options, so which one is right for me. Home use, 2 cars (but may start cleaning friends and family cars). Price isn't all that matters here, I want e nice, easy to use machine that can do all my buffering needs. I have a Meguiars buffer, which is not an orbital machine, and...

if the rain stays on the car…

Ok, all great comments. I did a real good wash, and nanoskin to the hood and trunk. Then did the cleaning wax, then the carnuba wax. The car in question is a 2012 Toyota Avalon. Yes it is mostly beads. I was thinking although the surface feels nice and smooth, there might be something still...

if the rain stays on the car…

is that a good sign, it needs to be polished, and or, wasn't done right? After a recent rain storm, I noticed that the rain drops pretty much covered the car. While some (the hood area), did come off once I started to drive, the rest was still on the car when I stopped a short time later. So...

Are all Clay kits created equal?

Ok, and which foam pads do folks like? Skip

Are all Clay kits created equal?

I'm in need of a new clay kit, and before purchasing one, I thought I'd get some feedback from you folks. I had a Meguires kit, which seems fine, I'm just wondering what you folks use, think? Skip
