So I grabbed a couple of these and haven’t used yet. They seem great but I feel like they would also make nice cloths for quick detailers etc?
Kinda small for drying compared to my massive waffle weave cloths...
But why? If a ceramics protect so well then they should EASILY protect from a light flick of a microfiber duster...?
That’s the core of the question I’m asking.
I have no dog in the fight. Just curiosity. I ‘risk’ using a brush on rare occasions when my car has been sitting in the garage for...
Oh I get all that.
I’m just wondering if anyone who believes that coatings can protect from micro scratches uses a car brush.
Following that logic a California duster should be absolutely no issue for a car with a ceramic coating.
Agreed but if a coating can protect from even light swipes from a tree branch as some claim, it should be able to protect from a light touch from a microfiber brush...
Ok. So I recognize that touching your car is almost always worse than not touching your car. And putting anything dry against a dry car is the worst...
BUT...
I hear all of this “9H! 10H! Even slight swipes against tree branches don’t scratch my car now that I have ultra spaceforce9000 ceramic...
Yep. Just wait for it to get dirty, wash, then as a final step use a high silica content QD or sealer. Easy.
In wash mine in the normal wash. A micro fiber shouldn’t get really dirty from washing the car. The mitt should but if you rinse that out in you ‘clean/soap’ bucket when done it’s fine...
So out of the gate you see sealants (I assume you mean ceramic sealants) and wax as both wet and warm.
But then the maintenance sprays (high silicone content vs high wax) turns the wet looking ceramic into more glassy looking while the wax maintenance sprays keep the waxed car wetter looking...
