Just got back from Advanced Auto. I ran out of interior detailer so I decided to try the griot's garage stuff since it was available local. Went to pick up a bottle and noticed they had the 1 gal size marked down on clearance for only $14. Figured, eh why not. Went to purchase and it rang up...

Had the opportunity do paint correction for my first customer today. Got the car all washed, clayed , and taped off. About four hours into the detail and my 6"'griot's up and dies. Sounds like it threw an internal bearing. Here is the only pic I got. Hopefully can finish once they replace it...

If you keep it clean in between you shouldn't have to reclay it. I'm in a similar situation. I just keep it cleaned up until I get a chance to finish it.

This guy was a douche nozzle. I knew he was blowing smoke but I just wanted to see how he would try and sell it. So I asked "what about a skim coat of bondo?" His reply " no it's a factor defect it will show through that". Apparently I had stupid on my forehead today!!

It might as well have been. At least then I could have had some beer while he was screwing me.

I should also mention that I hosed it off and you can clearly see that the center section of the hood where the defects were has no wax, while the outer edges of the hood still bead up from the wax that was on it. I can't stand shady ass people, and this guy came highly recommended and his shop...
